Crumbs. Do you recall? The President and Republicans cut taxes. Regular Americans would save thousands annually. Nancy Pelosi called it crumbs. What say you now Madam Speaker?
Whatever she says it will be ignorant, vituperative, and no doubt completely disconnected from reality. Just like Left-wing policy. And that’s the biggest problem with Democrats. They really think they know better. But after three years of dire predictions, not a one of which came to pass, you’d be right to ask yourself why? Why does anyone listen to them, trust them, heck, believe them?
The Trump economy has set records. Employment, wage growth, business growth, and even tax revenue growth. Did I mention lower and middle-class Wage growth? Record high minority employment. Record high youth employment. Lowest displaced worker rate this century. (Unless your state or city is run by Democrats who work hard to keep you from prospering).
Stable and incredibly low gas prices.
I mention fuel prices because these things are all connected. Especially the cost of motor fuel. It affects every part of the economy and therefore jobs, wages, and prices.
Saving fifty or even one-hundred dollars a month (or more) on gasoline at the pump may look like crumbs to liberal elites. The economy-wide savings may as well as prices are not pushed up by the cost of transportation or operations. To libs, that’s couch cushion money. Change you find in the pocket of some designer thing you haven’t worn in ages. Heck, you can’t even buy a “good” bottle of wine for that weekly savings.
But to the people whom you claim to champion, that’s real money. Every week.
It is money the Democrats are working desperately to take back from them.
End fracking, new gas taxes, carbon taxes, Transportation taxes. Regional pilfering initiatives. All designed to make life more expensive for the people who need it to be less so. Which is ironic given Ms. Pelosi’s previous remarks.
Democrats, as a matter of policy, upon which they are running for office, are promising to take as much as they can, perhaps even your crumbs.
My recommendation is that you not let them. You’ll be the one cutting corners or out of a job. A problem for which they have a solution. Dependency on bureaucrats, their good graces, and money they stole from someone else until they run out of that.
And they always run out of that.
