Unemployment Rate Lowest Since 1969 – Displaced Worker Rate Lowest in 19 Years

The economy continues to deliver good news. Trump’s second Recovery Summer has rolled into recovery Fall (or pumpkin spice in everything season you prefer), which saw unemployment drop to it’s the lowest level in 50 years.

The jobless rate dropped 0.2 percentage points to 3.5%, matching a level it last saw in December 1969. A more encompassing measure that includes discouraged workers and the underemployed also fell, declining 0.3 percent points to 6.9%, matching its lowest in nearly 19 years and just off the all-time low of 6.8%.

This gets a bit cliché, but if Obama were president everyone with ears to hear would be able to quote the data from memory. Mr. Trump is president, so outlets like CNBC are downplaying the great news with words like sluggish, which takes some work when you also have to report economic success like this.

Also, the jobless rate for Hispanics also hit a new record low, while the level for African Americans maintained its lowest ever.

The president they’ve been calling a racist Nazi bigot for over three years has once again done more for people of color than the President of Color. The scary part for the left is if the minority populations have noticed.

Any meaningful shift away from the party of the left is an electoral nightmare for Democrats.

So, the leftist race-baiters keep working overtime to make sure they have poisoned that well. Keep folks bitter. Angry. Don’t take advantage of this economic boon to acquire job skills that could lift you out of poverty. Listen to us and we’ll lock you into a free subsistence lifestyle. With block hosing, high crime, and food stamps, in places where you get arrested if you try to defend yourself.

And that got me to wondering. I’ve seen comparisons of violent crime data where the Democrat-run urban areas are removed. Has anyone done the same for any other metrics? Poverty, life expectancy, well-being, substance abuse, marriage, divorce, and so on?

I bet the national data would look very good for the rest of America if we removed data from places Democrats have been allowed to run for decades. Even just a dozen large cities.

Talk about making the Left-Wing experiment unpalatable to the majority of Americans.

The urban experience is the Democrat Party’s promise on the issues of economics and crime. And the Campus Culture is their promise on everything else.

Show America that, and let’s see if they ever again elect a Democrat president.
