Yep, that’s right. At least now. When you see the bills they are trying to pass in both Concord and DC, you know from whence they came. A Constitutional Republic depends on a number of things but most of all, adherence to The Rule of Law, Equality before the Law, the Right to Private Property, Free Speech, Freedom of the Press, and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. And, without it being explicitly stated, the Right to be Left Alone.
All run contra to the Principles of Socialism, which Marx said, is just a way stop on the road to full blown Communism. No more sense of Negative Rights by our Founders (Government should NEVER be allowed to do these things) to Positive Rights (Government MUST do these things FOR you). And oh, btw way, we’ve always been at war with Eurasia and congrats in that the chocolate ration was just raised from 30 grams per day to 20. And all of the Democrat Prez Wannabees are promoting, either in the aggregate or individual basis, policies that bring us more in line with Socialism.
From Von Clauswitz in Germany, to the American “academicians” coming to Germany in the 1880s and falling in thrall with the foreign political philosophy emanating from Marx, bringing it back to the US to replace the precepts of the US Constitution, calling themselves “Progressives”to cover for their new ideology (as they knew that using “Socialists” would never fly), to the Frankfurt School and Gramsci, through Presidents Woodrow Wilson (our first President/academician that openly HATED our Consitution) , Teddy Roosevelt, FDR (of the Second Bill of Rights, see Positive Rights, above), LBJ (of the Great Society whose only notable results was to waste $22 Trillion in”fighting” Poverty which we still have today AND in destroying the nuclear Black Family), and then to Obama (a Red Diaper baby and a child of the New Left).
And the now the leading Democrats of the Party are now an open Socialist (truly a Communist) Bernie Sanders and his devotee, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. He’s not a Democrat and to be truthful, either is she. Both spout nothing but Marxist doctrinaire wrapped up in “fair”, “equality”, “democratic”, “working people”, and the like; like the old fashioned Wild, Wild, West town facades, there’s only emptiness inside. Ask anyone that has or is living in a socialist state how the ordinary folks share the same “equality” with the nomenklatura how that’s worked out.
No, they are the smooth talking fifth column pushing that new Collectivist Trojan Horse into our city and they are just breathless they they are about to unleash themselves upon the rest of us.
I’ve been waiting for this moment – but not like they are. The clue was, starting a few years ago, when people were asking what the difference was between Democrats and Socialists and the responses were <crickets>. None of the leading Democrats in the House or Senate would answer the question. Given, however, that the largest caucus in the US House is the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the answer has been known for years. It was just that they were quiet about it. With Sanders running in 2016 and now again, and with the Justice Democrats getting AOC and her Squad into the House, the answer is now complete.
There is no more Democrat Party – they ought to be subject to the “Truth in Politics” idea and just call themselves the Socialist Party.
We’ll see. One way or another.

The latter should be described as “SHOCKINGLY” 67 per cent didn’t care.
