A special edition for Bruce Currie – our loyal opposition here at GraniteGrok and self-admitted Berni-Bro:
“I’m disgusted by the idea that Michael Bloomberg or any other billionaire thinks they can circumvent the political process and spend tens of millions of dollars to buy our elections. It’s just the latest example of a rigged political system that we are going to change when we’re in the White House,” Sanders said in a statement.
“If you can’t build grassroots support for your candidacy, you have no business running for president. The American people are sick and tired of the power of billionaires, and I suspect they won’t react well to someone trying to buy an election.”
-Bernie Sanders (Cold War Moscow honeymooner, self-described Socialist, US Senator, and Millionaire book author (heh!))
And, oh, by the way Bernie, the American people reacted extremely well to a billionaire “trying to buy an election”. Have you met our billionaire President, Donald Trump?
I do have to wonder: for years, Bernie railed against “millionaires and billionaires”. Then he became a millionaire and that phrase was quickly changed to just “billionaires” as political targets. If he sold a few more books and became a billionaire:
Who would he have left to attack then?
