7 out of 10 Voters Believe in America First

I’ll close out my blogging day with a bit of bad news for Democrats. A recent poll found that 70% of those asked were America-First voters. That the United States needs to take care of its business before everyone else.

Go ahead. Call them racists. Seven out of Ten Democrats probably already have.

poll by Selzer and Company/Grinnell College finds that the vast majority of American adults say they are America First voters, while less than 20 percent identify as socialists.

Overall, about seven-in-ten — or 70 percent — of likely voters say they are believers in America First — the nationalist-populist doctrine that guides President Trump’s agenda on immigration, trade, healthcare, and foreign policy, among others.

Seven out of ten is a significant number. And only 19% of those polled said they were socialists. Still a big number.

54% progressive is a scary number unless they mean car insurance. Giving your hard-earned cash to the lefty Lewis family. Your choice, I guess. Not mine.

And 89% proud to be American. That sounds like a good number. Not a lot of far-left Hollywood types in there, I’d guess. They seem to hate America, white people, the free market.

Look, Canada and Mexico are right there. Try something else. But when it sucks, if it sucks, and you come back, you have to pledge not to do everything in your power to make us like them.

Got it?
