August was a great month for our readers as a number of interesting Democrat scandals provided gist for the blogging mill. We also had heavy traffic on stories linked to both New Hampshire Republican primaries in CD-1 and CD-2. Then there’s the fledgling “New Hampshire is too white” commission which drove so much traffic that a post from July made the top ten in August.
Here we go.
Number 10 made the list in just over a day. Published on August 30th the revelations of Jeff Woodburn apologist Elizabeth Ruediger could very well make the list for high traffic in September by making the case (more or less) that people throw things and it’s not your fault if they don’t duck.
Title: Elizabeth Ruediger: The “Hillary Clinton” of the North Country
Number 9 wonders whether a New Hampshire Republican candidate for Congress is a fake conservative. The CD-1 race is hot and testy as were the reactions to this post. One candidate wouldn’t promise to support another if they win. It’s a hot mess.
Title: Is Edwards just another fake Conservative?
Number 8 brings us over to Congressional District two. The author questions the pro-gun posturing of a Republican candidate in that primary where “there is more to being pro-second amendment than circling choices on a piece of paper that an organization mailed to you.”
Title: Bob Burns: CD-2 Paper Maché Second Amendment Candidate
Number 7 on our list of most viewed posts for August shares the results of a straw poll conducted by the 603 Alliance. The organization asked it’s email list to participate in a password protected poll on Republican primary races for CD1, CD2, the State Executive Council, and State Senate Races.

Number 6 mocks guilt-ridden elites by suggesting that they can make New Hampshire less White by changing the name of the White Mountains. “It assumes that there is some magical, mystical bait just waiting to be uncovered that will attract “marginalized persons.” A term that by its very existence and use should be considered marginalizing.”
Title: You Can Start by Renaming the “White” Mountains
Number 5 is our only op-ed in this months list and explores why Illinois Democrat transplant and CD-1 Democrat for Congress Maura Sullivan can’t be trusted. “Simply put, taking guns out of the hands of responsibly armed citizens will not make you safer. In fact, it allows evil people more time to commit their murderous act before someone can arrive to stop them.”
Title: Maura Sullivan Cannot be Trusted as a Member of Congress
Number 4 explores a reader’s observations (a fellow Marine) about candidate Maura Sullivan’s political ad in which she holds a rifle. “She’s using her Marine history as political cover – real prior Marines aren’t buying it; take it from one that knows”
Title: Maura Sullivan gets dumped by a fellow Marine: “dainty holding an AR-15”
Number 3 was originally published on July 30th and made number 6 on the July top ten. About New Hampshire experts pondering how to attract people of color to the Granite State it more than doubled those traffic numbers in August making it the first article to appear on two top ten lists. “[I]n a truly diverse world personal preference would drive demographics and that would be good enough. Sorry, say the “experts,” it’s not.
Title: New Hampshire is Too White and ‘Experts’ Want to Fix It.
Number 2 was our first sortie against North Country Domestic abuse apologists and includes emails between the Democrat mayor of Berlin New Hampshire and other Democrats about the accused (Jeff Woodburn), his victim, and the politics behind the domestic abuse scandal. “The woman whom Jeff Woodburn is accused of assaulting is clearly a problem for these Democrats. Her claims are belittled as is she, by both the Mayor of Berlin and this activist.”
Title: “North Country Democrats” Choose Politics Over People on Woodburn Assault
Number 1 by another record-setting margin exposes Berlin New Hampshire mayor Paul Greiner’s complete disregard for any women’s rights narrative ever regurgitated by a leftist when he claims State Sen. Jeff Woodburn (the accused abuser) is the actual victim. “If the Mayor of Berlin is a Republican this news is already on CNN. All Day. Until he resigns.”

That’s the top ten for August 2018 which is to say it’s your top ten. The readers pick the stories and we share the results. And we are very grateful for your attention. August saw significant growth in traffic which we expect to continue through the Primary month into November and beyond.
Our new site should be up in some form, even if it still needs a few tweaks within the next week or so and we hope to continue to earn your attention.
