“Some circumstantial evidence is very strong, as when you find a trout in the milk.” —Henry David Thoreau
Brendan Bisbee is a former police officer who now sits in jail, convicted of perjury after he lied to help his girlfriend Kristin Ruggiero lie in order that her ex-husband be thrown in jail, have his career ruined and deny a relationship with their minor daughter born of that relationship.
Kristin made skillful use of technology to frame her ex-husband, Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Jeffrey Ruggiero, to make it appear that he was stalking and threatening her. Kristin waged a campaign of terror against Chief Ruggiero, making full use of the press, News Media and the courts. A closer investigation by authorities, however, later unraveled her web of deceit, landing her in Prison with a seven to fourteen-year prison sentence. Kristin died immediately after learning that her appeal was denied. Bisbee sits in jail for his assistance in her ploy and Kristin’s mother Elizabeth (Kim) McDonald is now facing charges herself for her part in aiding Kristin in her charade.
The Union Leader’s James Kimble reported yesterday that Bisbee is again seeking to be released on bail pending an appeal of his conviction. Kristin, following her conviction, made numerous attempts to free herself from the chains of Justice and was facing another twenty-one counts arising out of her first trial.
Even after being tried and convicted, Kristin’s hate and attempts at manipulation of the Justice system continued. Incarceration itself proved no deterrent to her wicked deeds. She demonstrated an iron resolve, even in the final act of death, where she punishes her daughter because she could not get her won way.
For all who participated in Kristin’s misdeeds the lasting common thread is a lack of remorse, acknowledgement of wrong doing and the frozen absence of contrition. It simply seems inadequate that a man who once swore an oath to enforce the law, and then broke that same law he swore to uphold for such a singular and unjust purpose of having an estranged ex-spouse of his present love interest completely ruined and thrown in jail. For attempting to unlawfully deny Jeff Ruggiero his freedom, Bisbee should not only do his time, but should also rot in hell for his crime.
