EMail Doodlings – “How the can this movement support this insider?!?!?!?!?!” (Part 2)

Adding on to my previous post – a reposte to a response (lightly edited):

Obama is a dictator, not a traditional political President

Obama is the epitome of the Progressive end-game: The High Administrator of the Administrative State that should decide for us all what is best for us instead of the Founders’ vision that we are the sovereigns and not the State; in that, you are absolutely correct.

Yes, Obama will have to participate in at least two debates, if not three.  Simple Alinskyism – use his strength against him, which was his PREVIOUS speechifying and he didn’t do too badly in the Democrat debates.   But you also have to admit that McCain was AWFUL in the debates and in the campaigning in between them, he refused to put on the gloves and beat Obama to a pulp (indeed, methinks McCain took a dive).  If he REFUSES to debate, that will only exacerbate the meme HE has created that he is worthless without TOTUS.

Sure, the ground game will be a separate slice of the campaign, and Obama is already moving on that.  That’s where WE ALL come into play; we as TEA Party folks are known, but to the extent that we can decentralize, get our folks ginned up, is unknown to both Obama and us, who knows (given the victory of 2010, how many have said “job done” and walked away?).

As far as going after the Insider turned Outsider as Newt has become, yes, we have had trouble in having to vote for folks like him.  However, what you are missing is what I obviously did not get across in answering your question of “why Gingrich”? WE see this, WE know this, but most non-political-junkies DON’T CARE.  Hearts are in the right place – beat Obama.  Conservatives may not hate Romney (he has his supporters but he as ALSO “the Establishment” candidate), but they hate Obama even more.  Most folks that are taking a passing interest in this right now (got 5 weeks or so to NH Primary, interest will start picking up MUCHLY (c’mon, give me a break) real soon) are simply thinking “WHO CAN BEAT OBAMA?” along with the unspoken “nobody from our side can be as bad as Obama”.

You asked why the movement towards Newt?  There it is, like it or not.  Now, that might be a mistake, thinking that just because the debates are helping to choose our nominee, that they also will help to pick the next President in the same degree (it won’t).  Simply, the movement is doing so because more and more people are emphasizing, in their own minds, the ability to wipe Obama in debates and putting Newt’s baggage as a tertiary element of their calculus.  You and others may not like that latter part, but I am seeing that here in NH.

Remember, Mitt is Mr. Flip even more than Newt….and Mitt has a REAL hard time explaining why he flipped / flips, and constitutionally seems to be unable to say “I messed up”.  Which brings up RomneyCare, which is the Republican proxy for Obamacare.  For many, that outweighs Newt’s baggage.

Now Eric, I’m not saying I agree with it and endorse it (heck, I endorsed Cain, so what do I know?), just that you asked and I’m telling you.
