“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” ~Abraham Lincoln
My good friend (former Ward 12 Alderman and State Rep) Keith Hirschmann called me and asked me to tag along over to Henniker for some Saturday Afternoon shooting. Shooting? Obviously, Keith knows me well enough that I am always up to throwing some lead down range with some choice guns….So at about 4:00 today, off we went to Henniker.
As we reach the thick of Henniker, we head down a wooded road….then onto a dirt road…hmmm…boonies….I’m really liking this now….woods…trees…wilderness…liking it even more! Now we’re travelling up a mountain! As we pull into Forster’s Christmas Tree Farm and Gift Shoppe, displayed prominently on the porch is the Gadsden Flag (Don’t tread on me)…Now I’m piqued! Seems that I might be meeting people that, although I’ve never met them, it appears at the outset we have common interests…I’m pretty pumped…
As we unload our collection of munitions and head over to the crowd, we are warmly greeted, welcomed and through brief discussions it is discovered we have met fellow like-minded Patriots! I instantly feel at home.
After an hour or two of shooting a vast array of long guns and handguns ( My 500 Magnum is always an attention getter), we settled in thereafter for a fine meal of grilled sausages and peppers and excellent conversation. Brian, fondly referred to the group as the “Henniker Militia” to which I mused, “wow…how much does that suck that I don’t live in Henniker?”
My hat is off to Stephen Forster for so graciously and generously hosting this party…Steve tells us he does this every Saturday, weather permitting and we got the invite back! And I can tell you, I’ll be going back for such a fantastic RINO-free excellent gathering of Patriots!
