Not Castration, Sequestration.

Castration? You would think so to hear the rhetoric and demagoguery, but no. (Did you happen to notice ‘Dem’ at the beginning of Demagoguery?)  Uh-huh, It’s true.

Give back a few pennies on the dollar and the Left insists the world could end. Sounds like lousy management to me. Well, OK

But why is the Federal Government still hiring people for these job

How About Billboard-Sized Images of Female Genitalia on Campus?

Sure!

Nothing says “don’t objectify me by my genitals” than a dozen billboard size pictures—posted in public–of a woman’s genitals.  This, of course, makes sense to a left wing mind which is why it is happening on a University campus where left wing minds are hatched in a basement laboratory and handed out to the students like…

On Wednesday (March 6th), the University of Cincinnati Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Alliance and the UC Feminists will host a panel led by Planned Parenthood and Thursday (March 7th) will host an “art” display called Re-envisioning the Female Body featuring 12 billboard-sized images of female genitalia on campus.

I’d expect the heterosexual male population to “embrace” the art, pose in front of it with giant cardboard cut outs of…..

From The Edge Of Sequestration…Another Update

The Edge Of Sequestration.  Sounds like a Soap Opera, but then it is.  Take the TSA for example.  Janet Napolitano promised we would suffer if Sequestration were allowed to take effect as workers were furloughed. Wait-times at airports would skyrocket because of these budget cuts.

While you’re waiting in those longer lines that may or may not exist, you’ll have extra time to admire the new uniforms TSA bought just before the sequester hit.  DHS signed a $50 million deal to buy uniforms just before the sequester hit, some of which will be made in Mexico.

At least the TSA is giving jobs to Mexicans that Americans wont do…in Mexico.  And back in the US, no one is reporting an increase in delays.

Hugo Chavez is Dead

Hugo Chavez is dead. No word on whether Obama will look for a replacement socialist for Book Club Night.

About That Media Bias We Hear About (and) A Bit of Odebacle Reminiscing.

Debra Heine, at Breitbart, has a P.I.’s  peep shot of the wife-beater wearing Obama Administration and its abusive relationship with the media.

She makes note of how reporters are treated if they say anything the boss in the Big House doesn’t like.  But every time the new media or the so-called swing voters ask, like the beat-cop responding to neighbors calling about another fight next door, the so-called watchdog media is heard to say… ‘But I can’t leave him.   He loves me. I, uh… just fell down the stairs (click, click, click, as threatening emails from White House Staffers are erased).

The War on Poor Children by Religious Bigots in New Hampshire

There is an excellent article over at Math Wizards, on the effort by some in New Hampshire to repeal a scholarship program for poor kids titled “HB370: A WAR ON POOR CHILDREN IN NEW HAMPSHIRE by RELIGIOUS BIGOTS?” The article observes that opponents are pointing to the NH State constitution as a reason for repeal, but … Read more

Gas Tax, Gas Tax, Gas Tax! Bill O’Brien Has An Amendment for HB 617

...Speaker of the House Bill O'Brien
Bill O’Brien

Former House Speaker Bill O’Brien has submitted a proposed amendment to HB 617 the New Hampshire Democrats massive gas tax hike.   It would require all taxes raised to go to the Highway Department for roads and bridges.   (From Facebook)

This morning I sent the following email to all other state representatives. I would like to share it with you.

If you agree, please contact your local state representative and ask him to vote on Wednesday for the O’Brien Amendment to HB 617, which will avoid an 83% gas tax increase, the largest tax increase in NH state history.

Here’s the email and the amendment is attached to this posting:

Grant Bosse – “Hassan is Reviving Several of John Lynch’s Budget Tricks”

Grant Bosse has a new piece out on Watching out for Budget Gimmicks.  There’s a brief history of “governors of budgets past,” and their serial inability to deliver both parts on time.  He then gets into the current Hassan half-budget for which part two is now nearing three-weeks past due.

Hassan is reviving several of John Lynch’s budget tricks. Lynch moved the entire Liquor Commission out of the General Fund, and then bragged about cutting General Fund spending. Hassan is taking $56 million in Board and Care revenue off the books in order to claim that her budget only increases General Fund spending by 7%. But we’re still spending that $56 million.

So all you citizens take this to heart.  If you plan to spend all the money you have, and just take 56 million out of your right pocket and put it in your left pocket, you just cut your spending by 56 million, even though you’re still going home with your pockets empty.

Follow-up: How Happy is Ann Kuster about the VAWA Vote Now?

child_prostitution

Yesterday I pointed out that according to Heritage the 2013 re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) included provisions that violated the constitution by giving Federal authority to tribal courts.

Today, we discover that the 78 Senators and 286 House members who voted (some happily) for S.47, the (Violence Against Women Re-authorization Act of 2013), also voted to prohibit the charging or prosecution of minors caught engaging in prostitution.  Put another way…when they voted for the VAWA they effectively decriminalized child prostitution.

oops.

Sustainable Development…The Movie

Last week, I posted a link to a pamphlet titled “Understanding Sustainable Development – Agenda 21 For The People and their Public Officials“. Obama Doesn’t Want Dictatorial Power over Sequester Cuts

Email and social media have been burning up with cries and moans about the US Senate giving Obama dictatorial power.

What they actually tried to do was to give him complete control over the Sequester cuts.  Only the Sequester cuts.  But all 85 Billion. Obama could pick and choose what got cut without having to concern himself with congress.  He could save head start, border patrol, firefighters, and instead pick low priority programs or the jobs of redundant pencil pushers.

He said he’d veto it.

Given the chance to lead, he voted present.  He is either incapable, or unwilling to lead.  Or, more likely, leading presents too many risks to his real agenda, which has nothing to do with protecting and defending America as he claims and everything to do with protecting Obama.

AFP – Remembering Andrew Breitbart.

March 01, 2013 A year ago today we were stunned by the loss of the prolific, insightful and passionate new-media general Andrew Breitbart. Breitbart’s persona was larger than life and his impact far greater than any circumstance. It is fitting then that his zany style and online ferocity effectively converted an army of thousands, each … Read more

Notable Quote – Jonah Goldberg

From Today’s G- File Anyway, the interesting thing about the sequester is how it exposes the shallowness of his (Obama’s) moral-equivalent-of-war rhetoric (or, if you prefer, his equally ridiculous elision of “community” or “family” with “government”). When military units have a hardship, they make do. When communities come up short of money, everyone pitches in. … Read more

Is Ann Kuster Happy We Violated the US Constitution?

Ann Kuster is excited that the House Republicans decided not to change the Senate version of the Violence Against Women’s act.    I’m not sure what the House had in mind but Tax dodger Ann Kuster is happy to assume it’s because they hate women.

What a difference a day makes! On Wednesday, Speaker Boehner had big plans to limit the protections for women who are victims of domestic and sexual violence. Apparently, House Republicans believe that some women – namely lesbians, immigrants and Native Americans – do not deserve equal protection under the law.

Problem.  This bill violates the US constitution in it’s effort to protect women from domestic and sexual violence.

Gambling Study Says Not Big Money For State

Maggie Hassan Rolls the Dice on Imaginary Gambling Revenu
Maggie Hassan Rolls the Dice on Imaginary Gambling Revenue

The Union Leader is reporting on a much anticipated study about the future of gambling Revenue for New Hampshire.

The news is not good for proponents.

According to the study done by the New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies (NHCPPS), because of the social costs of gambling, the state would not receive a net benefit if the gambling income is taxed at 30 percent or less.

Taxed at 40%, it’s supporters claimed we could see $152 million per year but,  NHCPPS says that number is less than 50 million per year for the $425 million dollar casino in the plan.   Off by 100 million.  Sounds about right.
