The same administration that has lied about so much, so publicly, so often, and in such grand fashion, about so many things, defending them viciously, now expect us to believe that the explanation for the lies they told about ObamaCare, should themselves be believed?

Should we clear our schedules six months down the road for a “we admit to the lies about the lies about ObamaCare” event?  We could do it every six months.  It would be more popular than the State of the Union.  We could call it the latest lies about the lies about ObamaCare summit.  Or how about we just call it The Two-Minutes hate.

As I type this the committee meeting at which the Democrat House Rep and House Criminal Justice and Safety Committee Chair, Laura Pantelakos said, and I quote, “I Don’t Care About Protecting People’s Liberty” is still underway.  (They are discussing HB675 – Another Dep’ty Dawg Shurtleff gem- Authorizing License Plate readers.)

But that is nice to know.  The Democrat Chair of the New Hampshire House Criminal Justice Committee doesn’t care about protecting people’s liberty.  Ain’t that sweet, that little unguarded moment of honesty.

The remarks were immediately contested by Republican House Reps, to which Pantelakos responded, “people are entitled to their opinion.”  I’m glad you said that Democrat Rep Pantelakos because that means I am entitled to mine, about you.

How many reports have you seen about how well the stock market is doing?  Seeing as it has been propped up by the Feds for several years why wouldn’t it be doing great, and it is.  And yes, that bubble too must burst, with little effect on the Governing class and a whole lot of hurt for the rest of us.  But the Democrat plan all along was to pretend they were pro-economy while making sure they did not appear to be in charge when it falls apart as it must.   This means that they could have the White House and a majority control of congress and still insist that when it failed, whatever it is, it is not their fault.

Having had majority control of the Government for the past seven years has not stopped them from blaming everyone else for things they passed proudly that have since failed or will.  Any future debacle will be similarly spun.

When Common Core arrived many states and districts just accepted it and signed on, only to discover just how bad it really is.  Teachers, parents, and administrators got caught in a bind as they tried to make sense of what has turned out to be an impossible curriculum to teach or test.

We had a great discussion about this with Ann Marie Banfield a few weeks back (Audio here and here) during which she mentioned NYC in particular- If they had stocks in the town square more than a few school board presidents, superintendents, and others would be in them having their faces used to make salads with rotting vegetables.

People are livid.

Which brings me to this; an open letter from an association of New York State Principals, to all parents in New York State, with regard to new testing. that looks more like an effort to keep themselves out of those stocks.  Or maybe it is something else.  You decide.

The Obama Administation knew all along that as many as 50-60% or more of us would lose our plans under ObamaCare.

Buried in Obamacare regulations from July 2010 is an estimate that because of normal turnover in the individual insurance market, “40 to 67 percent” of customers will not be able to keep their policy. And because many policies will have been changed since the key date, “the percentage of individual market policies losing grandfather status in a given year exceeds the 40 to 67 percent range.”  

That means the administration knew that more than 40 to 67 percent of those in the individual market would not be able to keep their plans, even if they liked them.

Lib Cartoonist: Sarah Palin was Right (sort of)!

Palin, along with other commenters, remarked that the epic failure of the Government run Healthcare rollout seems intentional and is designed to get us to single-payer, which was the plan all along.  Liberal Cartoonist Ted Rall, writing at the Daily KoS of all places, has unkind words for the Obama Administration, and kudos to Palin and company for other reasons – He argues that Obama and Company are all idiots (something we on the right have been saying that for years).

Rall adds his own take on the excuses used to dismiss the disastrous roll out.

If Team Obama had been plotting Canadian-style socialized medicine all along, they wouldn’t have floated all those dumb “heckuva job, Barry”-style excuses that turned healthcare.gov into the president’s Katrina moment:

• Too much volume. But corporate websites routinely handle more than the ACA sites. Besides, the feds knew that, in a nation with tens of millions of uninsured people, tens of millions of people were going to check out the website. The truth, as any idiot could plainly see, was that volume wasn’t the issue. Lousy coding was.

Some interesting news from Adam Cahn at Cahnman’s Musings…

Last night, we were invited to join the Facebook group “Draft David Barton for U.S. Senate.”  Putting it mildly, that piqued our interest.  Cahnman’s Musings has spent a substantial amount of time tracking this rumor today.

According to multiple sources, last week a meeting occurred between Tea Party leaders and a representative for Barton.  Sources report both sides left the meeting encouraged.  Right now, speculation Barton might run is “legitimate.”

Someone who went to healthcare.gov and managed to start the application process–to look at options for a family member–abandoned the process, did not submit their application, and explicitly refused to accept the terms–which should have ended things there–has 10 days to appeal the “decision” on an application he never submitted or he will become ineligible for any future coverage.

Another “No, you Can’t Keep Your Plan” story–once again demonstrating who is Right and who is….left on a hook by the Democrats.  Not to worry lefty warriors, she’s just pregnant and been forced to go shopping for a new plan.

Party of Change?  I get it now.   Democrat: “Guess we lied– You’ll have to Change your plan after all.”

Fullerton resident Jennifer Harris thought she had a great deal, paying $98 a month for an individual plan through Health Net Inc. She got a rude surprise this month when the company said it would cancel her policy at the end of this year. Her current plan does not conform with the new federal rules, which require more generous levels of coverage.
