Monday, April 9th between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm ET I experienced a series of unpleasant symptoms that resolved themselves into extremely unpleasant symptoms and a heart attack.
While walking Cosmo, I felt what at first seemed to be more like winter or cold weather asthma. That feeling you get in your chest from inhaling too much cold air through your mouth. After resting a moment, the symptoms subsided. I finished the walk, though a bit out of breath.
At home things quickly accelerated.
One of the issues with slavery from the founding of the nation (leading up to and past the civil war) is that there was a class of persons who did not believe or could not be convinced that their slaves were human beings. In their eyes, they were not people, so the idea of granting them rights made no sense.
Hitler took a similar stand with the Jews. They were inferior. As such they became scapegoats and a “question” resolved by genocide.
Now consider how Democrats justify abortion.

Nancy Pelosi announced that one of the first things Democrats will do when they regain control is to repeal and replace recent Republican Tax reforms. And she promises it will be bipartisan and done in daylight, (unlike healthcare reform, I guess). So, what might that look like?
If previous proposals are any indication, Pelosi plans on instituting a major tax hike, particularly focused on punishing those same generous corporations. In a plan published last month, Congressional Democrats proposed a $1 trillion dollar tax hike, pushing the corporate tax rate from its current 21% to 25%, undoing tax breaks for high earners, and re-instituting a top tax bracket that could tax some Americans at a rate of nearly 40%.

Shawne K. Wickham, reporting in today’s Manchester Union Leader, serves up and article titled, “Police: Human trafficking on the rise in New Hampshire.”
Bedford Police Department is hosting “Hiding in Plain Sight,” a summit on social media and human trafficking, tonight at Manchester Christian Church, 56 Old Bedford Road, Bedford. Panelists will include law enforcement experts, medical professionals, victim advocates and a trafficking survivor.
Maybe this article or the advertised forum is not the place for this but at some point, someone, including reporters, need to accept that porous borders and failed immigration policy is the catalyst for the human trafficking tragedy.
To address London’s gun-less murder-surge Sadiq ‘Shakkah’ Kahn, the mayor of London, has implemented measures, including a police crackdown, on anyone out in public with a knife. His government is banning the home delivery of knives and acid.
You’ve seen movies where a couple of Goodfellas in suits show up at a business and the proprietor, looking uncomfortable, hands them a bag of cash. New Hampshire has this too. Some nicely dressed guys (and girls) are using the state legislature to force a business to extract protection money from you. (Again.)
This time around it’s your electric rates (Again?). The Senate passed changes that would turn electricity providers into enforcers for a protection racket that takes money from you to line other people’s pockets.
Donna Green has an excellent overview of how Timberlane School District Superintendent Earl Metzler has an ED problem. That’s Education-budget Disorder. It seems he can’t keep up with his own hyperbolic fiscal histrionics. Declarations of doom that never come to pass.
Poor Superintendent Metzler. First, he threatens to close a school. Fails at that but not before he displaces hundreds of Sandown students and forces staff into crowded conditions. Then he threatens 81.5 staff. Fails at that. Now he’s down to a hollow threat of 50 staff cuts. You can be sure he’ll fail at that, too. It’s too bad because the district does need to cut excess staff. Unfortunately, he isn’t the man for the job.
Martin O’Malley was in New Hampshire last week, and he thinks gun control is a winning issue for Democrats even if it hasn’t worked in Maryland, yet.
“It’s hard to measure prevention,” O’Malley said, before laying the blame for increased homicide rates at the feet of the two Baltimore mayors, Stephanie C. Rawlings-Blake and Catherine Pugh, who were elected after he left the mayor’s office to become governor.
What’s O’Malleys winning formula? Is it the one that has turned Baltimore into the murder capital of the nation?
Yes, there is a warming trend, but that’s hard to dispute seeing as we’ve been in an interglacial for a while now. But blaming it on fossil fuels still doesn’t fly given that most of the total change in temperature happened before your daddy bought his first SUV.
And no, not as guests of the regime.

The Village of Deerfield, Illinois has passed an ordinance requiring owners of so-called “assault weapons” and “large capacity” magazines to turn them in, destroy them, render inoperable, or remove them from the Village within 60 days or face fines up to $1000 for each offense.
If you do not turn in your illegal contraband or those fines aren’t paid, government enforcers (active duty law enforcement), who are of course exempt from this ban, will be sent to your house with their “assault weapons” to kidnap you and send you to jail, or kill you for resisting.
