Obama DoJ Never Held FISA Hearings for Warrants to Spy on Trump Campaign

Obama’s Justice Department has admitted that it never held any hearings to get permission to surveil Carter Page, as a means to spy on an opposition party Presidential campaign.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today announced that in response to a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, the Justice Department (DOJ) admitted in a court filing last night that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court held no hearings on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) spy warrant applications targeting Carter Page, a former Trump campaign part-time advisor who was the subject of four controversial FISA warrants.

ICYM – Massachusetts Law Bans Ownership of “Assault Weapons” Whatever Those Are…

Words mean things. I think we’ve made that clear. But this isn’t Massachusetts.

A Massachusetts statute prohibits ownership of “assault weapons,” the statutory definition of which includes the most popular semi-automatic rifles in the country, as well as “copies or duplicates” of any such weapons. As for what that means, your guess is as good as ours. A group of plaintiffs, including two firearm dealers and the Gun Owners’ Action League challenged the law as a violation of the Second Amendment. Unfortunately, federal district court judge William Young upheld the ban.

Did Trump Just Get Mexico to Pay for ‘The Wall’?

Donald Trump’s recent trade reform with Mexico scraps NAFTA and replaces with it something much more beneficial to the United States. It does a lot to level the playing field and while the Unions want to see the final language before they sing its praises initial rumors suggest they are pleased.

I Thought Democrats Wanted the Rich to Pay More Taxes?

Back on July 18th, I reported on a lawsuit brought by blue states over the change in the SALT deduction. Prior to tax reform people living in highly taxed states could deduct State and local taxes (SALT) from their federal return. Blue state spending goes unpunished. Liberal governors have no reason to be frugal as long as their local taxpayers can get their taxable income reduced at the expense of other states.

Republican Tax reform capped the SALT deduction at 10,000.00 dollars. And now Democrats are mad because Trump won’t let them live large on your dime. But there’s another aspect to this liberal fraud I left unexplored.

The ACLU Defends the NRA from Gov. Andrew Cuomo

The State of New York and Governor Andrew Cuomo are engaged in a campaign to encourage banks and insurance companies to divest themselves of any dealings with the National Rifle Association (NRA). Bereft of insurance or financial tools, it would become difficult if not impossible for the organization to operate.

The NRA has taken the State of New York to Court and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has written a brief in their defense on first amendment grounds.
