From a lesbian mayor suing Pastors for their sermons; now Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is suing Ministers for practicing their faith??

Marines Cross PendletonThere is no “tolerance” in the militant gay movement – there can only be acceptance (even if forced). President Obama’s Obamacare Mandate is forcing Christian companies to provide abortifaciants in their healthcare policies against their religious beliefs and conscious – this is Tyranny in which Government decides what thought is allowed – and what is not.  Christian small business owners are forced to participate in “religious” ceremonies that they consider sinful – with fines and threats of literal “re-education”.  This is the Land of the Free under the force of Diversity?

Vindication for Erick Erickson’s Obama Theorem? Prof. Thomas Sowell and another look.

“In other words, the safety of the American people takes second place to the goal of helping people overseas.”

“…may be overlooking the possibility that he has different priorities than the protection of the American people and America’s interests as a nation

To recap: Erick Erickson’s Obama theorem:

  1. The world will be more safe if the United States is less safe.
  2. The world will be more stable if the United States is less stable.
  3. Act against one and two only when polling demands it and only then in a way that does not actually undermine one and two.

Professor Thomas Sowell (Ph.D Economics), a well respected economist and political commentator (e.g., not someone given to wild antics)  goes into a bit more depth using this worldwide scare of Ebola that we now find ourselves (reformatted, emphasis mine):

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa is both a danger in itself and a wake-up call for Americans — about President Obama, about the institutions of this country and, most important, about ourselves. There was a time when an outbreak of a deadly disease overseas would bring virtually unanimous agreement that our top priority should be to keep it overseas. Yet Barack Obama has refused to bar entry to the United States by people from countries where the Ebola epidemic rages, as Britain has done.

Notable Quote – Che Guevara

We see his face on T-shirts all the time (especially on college campuses) as examples of “Communist Chic”.  Viva la Revolucion! Problem is, he words quite pithily sum up the Left’s philosophy and THAT we should never forget: “We reject any peaceful approach. Violence is inevitable. To establish socialism, rivers of blood must flow.” – … Read more

Where Congressional Bills go to die….

The Democrats always point to the Republican controlled US House of Representatives when they utter the words “Obstructionists!!!”.  In this, they absolutely depend on the LIVs – Low Information Voters whose knowledge of current political events is as deep as the last 30 second sound bite that passes through their right ear and out their … Read more

From yesterday’s morning’s GrokTALK! – readings from the blogosphere Part 3

ScottBrown4We’ve talked / blogged that we at GraniteGrok keep getting yelled at for not being behind the NH GOP push for Scott Brown.  Look, we just don’t think that he’s the right Republican guy for the job simply because he’s wishy-washy on OUR important issues – and those are not fringe ones but main stream Republican ones.  Simply hearing him proclaim that he’s the “Anti-Shaheen” and the only one that can beat her doesn’t make it – we’ve grown weary of listening to politicians whose words don’t match their actions.  We demand Champions, not second / third / fourth losers.  We have researched his voting records and they simply come up real short.

We also keep getting told that we HAVE to vote for Scott Brown to get rid of Harry Reid as the US Senate Majority Leader.

Socialist Freedom Party – Only YOU ALL should pay that hourly rate (we pay less)

Web-Design-Job-Socialists abridgedSeattle just raised its minimum wage to $15 / hour and that also include small biz – the Mom & Pop type operations – as well as the big ones.  One of the biggest yellers at the time was the Socialist Freedom Party that was jumping up and down demanding others pay more for goods and services and using the force of Government (hey, what ELSE do nascent fascists and socialists do when they believe that Government should have total control over the private sector).

Do “hypocrisy” much, Socialist Freedom Party?  Or do WANT to live “fine for thee but not for me!”?

Socialists AND Feminists – what a combo (er, what am I thinking – both live to use Government to make a living hell for the rest of us). Full ad after the jump:

Seriously?  Oh sure, just send Air Force One – he can use the backup one for a bit.  Sheesh, every time I think that we have reached the limits of lunacy, something else pops up.  So, US Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Congressman Annie Kuster (D-NH), and Congressman Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH), what think you of your Party’s President?  Yikes! From Judicial Watch  – a really, really serious site – this is NOT the Onion! Emphasis mine:

Obama Plans to Let Ebola-infected Foreigners Into U.S. for Treatment

Washington, DC – Judicial Watch has learned that the Obama administration is actively formulating plans to admit Ebola-infected non-U.S. citizens into the United States for treatment.  Specifically, the goal of the administration is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis.

It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients.  The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

Blogline of the Day – not the watchdogs you are looking for…

Actually, I’m clearing out some older posts that have accumulated – but this from Jim Treacher still fits: “Modern journalism is all about deciding which facts the public shouldn’t know because they might reflect badly on Democrats.” Indeed; Democrats with bylines.

Political Scoop: him questions, me answers

New WMUR logoHaven’t done this for a while but decided to use the flyswatter one more time before putting it away for the season on a couple of the questions just laid out there in the breeze:

Anyone else notice that the Steve Vaillancourt comments on Kuster got more play in national media than it did in local media?

Er, it is because we all know what the rivals look like?  Or is it is that there is just no contest “there”?

What did striking Fairpoint workers learn from the Market Basket protests over the summer?

Nuthin…

Will any state Senate contest begin to get attention?

Campaign Finance limitations – dumb idea; $$ for messaging still doesn’t translate to votes

Free speech under assault againThere’s Larry Lessig’s PAC, the MayDay PAC, that is raising and spending millions of dollars this election cycle – to stop others from spending so much money.  So, too, is George Soro’s son.  The Left is as well.  Sorry, their stated of “taking the money out”, I believe, masks the real reason – stopping free speech (e.g., US Supreme Court’s “Citizen United” decision).  So even when Michelle Bachman starts complaining, I just shrug:

Retiring Rep. Michele Bachmann says it’s time to consider campaign spending limits, saying the levels of money raised and spent by candidates in recent elections have gotten out of whack.

“I believe that it is ridiculous the amount of money we’re spending on these elections; it’s gone into the realm of the bizarre and absurd, and even for Washington, D.C., standards,” the Minnesota Republican said Wednesday during an event hosted by the conservative Heritage Foundation in Washington.

Bachmann’s comments come four years after raising $13 million for her successful 2010 re-election bid to the House.

“That’s crazy money. That’s crazy that any candidate should have to raise that kind of money,” she said.

Maybe.  Maybe not.  Best example here in NH was

Did someone put the CDC in charge of this One Job too?

Right now, the CDC is a Conservative’s nightmare and validation: Nightmare in that this Ebola epidemic is EXACTLY what we pay Govt to do certain things – and the CDC has been nothing except a Keystone Cop car full of fools.  And these stakes may be exceedingly high to us all. Validation in that it … Read more

Data Point – insufficient funding? I think not

Of course, with the spectacular failures to protect Americans from the Ebola virus so far, with so many missteps and “mis-speaks”, there has been absolutely no reason to Trust the CDC or any other member of the Obama Administration over the last month.  So, the Progressives are hocking up the same old reason for failure: … Read more

That word, Socialism , doesn’t mean what you think it does

I just scratched my head watching this clip.  Seriously, if you don’t know the definition of ” socialism ” and you are deep into politics (and going to a meeting like this really means you are), there is a problem.  But this seems to be par for the course lately – an uneducated electorate supporting … Read more
