GrokTV: PBS News Hour interviews Grokster Steve

This past Saturday we had Lisa Dejardines on GrokTALK! – it wasn’t clear to me at the start what we were supposed to talk about but it sure was a lot of fun and on some deep issues (we’ve asked her to come back if her Bosses will let her).  However, the main reason she was in studio was to do an interview with Steve which will run during the NH First In The Nation Primary this Tuesday.

UPDATE: we held this post until PBS could run their tonite.  That has now aired.

Project Veritas – doing the Voter Fraud investigations our elections and law enforcement folks refuse to do?

Yup, those jolly jesters of the “poke them in their political eyes” genre of investigative journalism have done it again.  Here.  In New Hampshire.  During the First In the Nation Primary.  Did I mention “Again”?  Yep, James O’Keefe and his compatriots are showing us, once again, that the “thing that cannot happen here in NH” actually can be done thanks to clueless (or better put, hyper-partisan) election officials more excited about helping “their side” than protecting The Rule of Law.

So, will former NH Assistant AG Dick Head come out of retirement to track James O’Keefe down?  Will he (or his replacement) be having someone knocking on Grokster Mike’s door?  Will the newest version of “the manila envelope” open up and spill my picture on the ground?  Stay tuned for this riveting second round of the parody “Vote, vote, who is stealing our votes!”.

In the meantime, here’s a bit of a transcript – and it TRULY is very sad.  If we cannot trust government workers to obey the law, see to it that the laws are faithfully kept both in the Letter as well in Spirit of it, well, why should we little people have to follow it?  The Rule of Law is only effective when it applies to ALL.  But the transcript showing that those that would want to break the Law have willing co-conspirators in those that should be shouting “Hey, I need Law Enforcement here!”

That would be both Chris Christie AND Carly Fiorina – after really disappointing results (and blowing millions of bucks), they have dropped out of the race seeking the Presidency.  TMEW asked me about Carly as she had boasted that she was going all the way as recently as last night; all I could do is shrug my shoulders and go “that’s politics”.

The last couple of election cycles, the ‘Grok as been rather stingy with endorsements. We decided that we would raise our bar high and no longer do the “least worst” that we did in some cases in the past.  We decided that it was no longer sufficient that an “R” followed someone’s name.  It is about Principle and, if at all possible, to look at their actions.  After all, winning is merely a precursor; what is most important is what is done afterwards. Seriously? A great exhibit of “polls suck nowadays”

Gilmore2And not just because they may show results that I don’t like.  It is well known that the polling industry hasn’t been doing all that well the last few cycles with results that didn’t match reality.  Think Brat over Cantor where the TEA Party guy (Brat) was predicted to get swamped by the #3 guy in the US House.

Sorry Jeb!, this doesn’t make it.  Much of the malaise of the country is due directly to Obama’s policies that have festered for the last 7 years and for the last two (and the remaining one), he’s only stepped harder on the accelerator in transforming America for the worst.

Hello Friend,

Tomorrow we in NH have the privilege to cast our votes in the first in the nation primary. I hope you will join me in voting for Senator Ted Cruz. I believe Ted Cruz has the ability to lead our country back to traditional conservative values in the way that Reagan did after the disastrous Carter years.

Early in the primary process I had the opportunity to hear and/or meet many of the republican candidates. Last summer I threw my enthusiastic support behind the man who most distinguished himself as a genuine conservative with proven backbone to take on the establishment in both parties.

Key factors in my decision were:

  • BACKBONE – as a freshman senator in DC he stood up for the conservatives values he was elected to represent even when he had to stand against the establishment leadership of his own party. HE WILL STAND FOR THE VALUES HE BELIEVES IN. He has proven that!
  • CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVE – as a constitutional lawyer, as a Texas Solicitor General, as a senator and as a candidate he has clearly articulated constitutional values that I believe in and that our nation was founded on.

GrokTALK! – the videos (ok a couple of them)

Internet problems abounded this past Saturday – it and the UStream servers just kept pooping out on us.  Since the “recording camera” is not hooked up to the board, it never hears the folks on the phones.  So, I’m just going to post up the segments in which we had all the participants in studio (apologies to or guests that were on the line).

You’ll note the camera (yes, equipment envy on my part) moving around during the show.  That was from the PBS News Hour getting some extra footage as Steve was interviewed by one of our guests (Lisa Dejardins) after the show.  That piece will run during Primary nite this Tuesday outlining some thoughts from people from the different wings of the NH GOP.
