Rick Olson is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a BA in Social Science. Rick subsequently attended Massachusetts School of Law in Andover MA. Rick takes up second amendment issues on Granite Grok, as well as issues surrounding hunting, fishing, trapping and wildlife issues. Rick Olson is a former Police Officer and Deputy Sheriff. He is Past President of the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation, President of the Londonderry Fish & Game Club  Rick is a nationally certified firearms instructor and a Hunter Education Instructor. He can frequently be found teaching Urban Rifle and Defensive Pistol classes as an Instructor with Defensive Strategies in Goffstown, NH.  Rick resides in Manchester with his wife Lisa. Timmy apologized today. Well, sort of…eh…not really. I mean, I don’t really think he meant it. First, Tim, “Mother Hubbard” Horrigan told the Union Leader,

Its the Republicans Fault:  “the Republicans have been a little bit hypocritical about the gun violence issue.” He said he had just seen a Tweet David Wheeler, the father of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victim Ben Wheeler. “I went to grade school with David Wheeler, and he’s a very awesome person…”
  2. I was Angry at the Republicans.  “I was kind of [sic]angry about some of the gun stuff,” Horrigan said, “especially since I know someone whose son was murdered.

  4. Its nothing personal. ” “It was nothing personal” against them, (Horrigan) said.

That is not an apology…that is a bunch of excuses for the bad behavior. That shows me he is strident and lacking any remorse.

New England College Will Not Defend Their Data in Assault Weapons Ban Poll

On Friday the Union Leader (John Distaso)reported  that New England Colleges’ Dr. Ben Tafoya conducted  a poll of 656 “registered voters”  showing that 72 percent of Granite Staters support an assault weapons ban and 88 percent favored “universal background checks”.

According to the UL story, the poll conducted on January 21 and 22 asked two direct questions:

(Should) “assault weapons” should be banned; and “Do you support the idea of universal background checks for gun purchases?”
