Police investigating the Paris terror attacks have shut down three mosques in a series of raids to close the net on Islamic extremists, the Express reports.  Police in France also arrested the owner of a revolver found during Wednesday’s raid, France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.  Security officials found jihadist documents at the mosque where yesterday’s raids took place.  They have placed nine people under house arrest. Another 22 have been banned from leaving the country Mr Cazeneuve said.

…He said: “In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year.”

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -A day after Noshville co-owner Tom Loventhal announced the restaurant’s Midtown location on Broadway will close this month, he said he planned to close next year anyway.  Loventhal said Tuesday the restaurant would close in 2016 because of health insurance costs.

“Because we have more than 50 employees, one of the reasons we’re closing a little earlier is the Affordable Care Act,” Loventhal said. “If you have more than 50 full-time employees, you have to offer health insurance. It’s an unknown risk that I’m not willing to take because I don’t know what the cost is, but it’s significant. Or in the case of the NY Times, an outright call for confiscation of guns.  However, that seems to be the ideological wash of the day (as if removing guns is going to just get rid of Islamic Jihad?) – everything is about the gun and not about the evil “political ideology in a religious wrapper” which is the root cause.  Instead, this is the important question – gun control is just the convenient cover – and should have been on every newspaper above the fold in the country:

Last nite, like a lot of TV political events, I tried to tweet out thoughts that come to mind and last nite’s totally useless Obama speech was no different. In fact, I summarized it like this:

Except for one thing and that was he is demanding that Congress vote for his idea that anyone on the No Fly zone automatically be denied their Second Amendment rights. Gun control by other means. No trial, no jury, no judge – just someone within the Obama Administration filling in a checkbox next to a name.  Gulity by Administrative fiat.  The epitome of the Progressive’s Nirvana of The Administrative State.

The other thing I’ll do is retweet any good line, sometimes with a quick thought of my own, that comes across the event that I’m following.  Much to my surprise was this tweet by Kelly Ayotte, Jr Senator from NH, who seemingly is in complete agreement with President Obama on restricting gun rights of American citizens.  She’s a former NH Attorney General and one would think should have,at the least, a passing knowledge of both the US and NH Constitution on the subject of “arms”:

If anything were to prove Obama’s deep ideological bias and hatred towards the American right to self-defense via the Second Amendment, it was last night when he tried conflating Islamic Jihad terrorist (and the risible lessening of such there of) by a citizen’s decreased right to own and bear arms by the use of a purely Administrative tool (the No Fly list).

Perhaps for folks like US Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), maybe Choice E fits.  For her, I cannot think of any other reason other than the perception, that many in law enforcement share, that citizens are not up to having such in this “modern age”.

No, Obama needs a category all his own: F.  A fitting letter, that, but trouble for us all, as it fits for “The State, and only The State, should posses the means of violence“.  Which means, in hard and horrible terms, that His State no longer needs the consent of the govern.  For you see, they are no longer the “consenters”, we’d be the subjects.  There is much to be said, if you think about it, that a law abiding citizen IS a Citizen (aka, The Bigger the Government, the smaller the citizen).

Yeah, blogging has been light from me lately – let’s just chalk it up to a constantly changing schedule lately beyond my control and with it, too many interruptions to be able to concentrate properly on this “hobby”.  Thus, this has been sitting for almost a week, and to be frank, I forgot what my original thoughts on this was.  But hey, I took the time to transcribe it, so let’s throw something out, shall we?

I think this race is going to be shaped by who is in the best position to get things done for the people of NH. Certainly, NH Rebellion belongs to this coterie of constrainers.

If they value their pocketbooks and want federal agencies to operate within their legal jurisdiction, their first concern should be the Environmental Protection Agency’s costly and illegal carbon reduction plan.

In an obvious effort to shore up his environmental legacy, President Obama and the EPA are backing an expensive scheme to reduce carbon emissions by power generators. Disappointingly, New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster has chosen to support the president’s efforts and leave the fate of our electricity system up to bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.

However, attorneys general and elected officials from 27 states are not standing by while the president flouts the rule of law to cement his legacy. They have filed a federal lawsuit against the EPA based on the fact that the Clean Air Act specifically forbids it from regulating emissions from existing power plants.

New Hampshire parents want the best for their children, and that includes a great K-12 education.

The state’s public schools provide a conducive learning environment for most of its children, but for some children, the local school does not meet educational needs. They are at increased risk of falling behind or, worse, not graduating high school.

For these children, an alternative learning environment is necessary. For some with special needs, this means taxpayer-funded placement in a private school designed to provide an appropriate learning environment structured to best meet the child’s physical and educational needs. For others, a nearby chartered public school provides the learning environment best suited for the child. And for some, school districts wanting the best for their children have contracted with private schools. Coe-Brown and Pinkerton Academy are examples where public funds pay tuition for students attending these schools.
