OK, I’m late on finishing this story – see Parts one, two, and three. To recap, just about the time that we put up a post –  Windham School Board Approves Unconstitutional “BATHROOM BILL” Policy – and as I said then, the timing was uncanny as she decided, like a lot of Progressives try to do, to attack a revenue source that conservatives use to fund their work.  It was as if she was trying to Alinsky us (trust me, Ms. Sawyer, far better people have tried to do that than you). The innuendo was that we were “illegal” because some people were too stupid (in her eyes) to figure out that clicking on the Amazon et al widgets on our sidebar might, just MIGHT, put a coin or two into the ‘Grok’s pocket.  My response was:

We don’t do product reviews, haven’t done “paid posts” for years, we don’t put “buy now” buttons anywhere, we don’t do product endorsements, we don’t do links in posts to marketeers.

But was she satisfied with that?

Former US Speaker of the House Tip O’Neal (D-MA) famously said of national politics “ALL politics is local”.  Early in ‘Grok history, we turned that around to “Politics: if it is happening here, it’s happening in your town, too” as we described some of the political machinations of our little hamlet and surrounding areas.  I’ve been blogging about Windham’s School Board (hi Rob Breton, Dennis Senibaldi!) for a bit now over their ramming of their Transgender policy down the conservative throats of the residents there – making transgender kids, a la the Democrat / Progressive / Socialist methods, a protected political class and wiping out any vestige of the Normal kids’ privacy rights.  Oh, they wrap it up in such delicate, smooth talking language but as I pointed out earlier, they then threaten anyone in the District that doesn’t toe their line about coerced speech.  More on that later.

So in the latest “contract” with the Windham School Board, the older, more experienced, and RICHER teachers decided to shive their younger, less experienced, and poorer teachers by grabbing all of the cash of the newest and bloated teachers contract.

Sidenote: That same group of adults (writ large) always couches their arguments in saying “it’s for the children” as if that covers all the holes in all of their arguments.  It is but one of the Political Correctness Sledgehammers that the Left uses to silence dissent of all kinds because that Sledgehammer comes smacking down into their PC Anvil if you even DARE to disagree called “What, you HATE CHILDREN??”.  It’s what they say when

UPDATED: An orange flag will be worn by all of the Oscars attendees in support of gun control.

The celebrities will be making a political statement as the symbols are a show of support for the gun control advocacy group Everytown for Gun Safety. According to their website, Everytown “is a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities” founded by Michael Bloomberg. The pins have been sent to The Wall Group, a key agency, and will be distributed prior to the red carpet. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the pins will likely feature the slogan used by Parkland shooting survivors, “#NeverAgain.”

Everytown is an Astroturf outfit bankrolled by former NYC mayor and billionaire Bloomberg who hates guns (even as he’s surrounded by armed guards all the time). They exist, not for ending gun violence but for ending gun violence via complete civilian disarmament.

• Regionalization is still being pushed by NH’s “fourth level of Government” (the others being local, county, and State) even as we were hammered that it doesn’t exist
• A GREAT example of what I’ve been saying for years – bureaucracies exist to grown beyond their underlying and authorizing State statutes.  Here, Jeffrey Hayes seeming wants to turn the LRPC from being an advisory organization to a money making one by making it “topmost” and charging the underlying (and soon to be subordinate) towns money for stuff.

Absolute idiocy – and it isn’t just stopping on college campuses as we are starting to see this nonsense spilling out into what used to be our common Civil Society.  Look, you want to call yourself something, knock yourself out.  Expecting the rest of us to go along with this absurdity to call you something that the rest of us go “huh?” and going all nutty about it? ‘Pronouns matter’: Georgia college suggests ‘ne’ and ‘ve’ as gender-neutral words

The LGBT Resource Center at a Georgia college may want to pay a visit to the English department after a new controversial pamphlet lists several gender pronouns as “ne,” “ve,” and “ey.” The words are featured in a pamphlet titled “Pronouns Matter: A guide to using gender neutral pronouns” that administrators handed out in Kennesaw State University’s Student Center Tuesday, as reported by CampusReform.org.

I just slowly shake my head.  We’ve covered Seattle’s silliness (except it really is disheartening) over the years as Statism / Socialism seems to have grabbed hard on its leaders (at least one is outright and proud Socialist) as it deploys policies that keep screwing over its residents instead of getting tarred and feathered (here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here just for starters).  And again, the Seattle Socialists have decided that they know better how to spend other peoples’ money better than they do and are going to target “rich” companies and tax them on their head counts.  No, not just annually but EVERY HOUR for EVERY EMPLOYEE (reformatted, emphasis mine):

A Seattle task force is recommending the City Council adopt a $75 million-per-year “head tax” on high-grossing businesses to help address homelessness. Members of the community panel set up by the council reached consensus during their last meeting Thursday after about two months of work.  The council narrowly rejected a $25 million-per-year head tax (also called an employee-hours tax) in November, instead vowing to revisit the issue and pass a tax this year after more study by the task force.

On this topic, they’d have a bit more credibility if they fired all those bodyguards that have firearms but they haven’t seem to have figured out that little bit of irony.

A statue of a gorilla in a community playground was removed because some people found the children’s plaything racially insensitive. The gorilla, which had stood for 19 years in the playground in Corsicana, Texas, was removed by city workers.

Poll: 82% Of Dems Favor Banning All Semiautomatic Weapons, Evenly Split On Banning All Guns

YouGov asked people whether they favor or oppose banning semiautomatic weapons. Note: Not semiautomatic rifles, which some might incorrectly but understandably treat as a question about AR-15s or “assault weapons.” YouGov asked about semiautomatic weapons. That means handguns too.

Which basically means around 90-95% of commonly held firearms by citizens.  This is confiscation and the drumbeat

DC’s Projected High School Graduation Rate Drops To 42%

Washington, DC’s high school graduation rate is projected to drop by as much as 31% this year, with just 42% of seniors currently on track to receive a diploma. From the Washington Post:

Data released Thursday by D.C. Public Schools show that 42 percent of seniors attending traditional public schools are on track to graduate, while 19 percent are considered “moderately off-track,” meaning they could still earn enough credits to earn a diploma.

Trump, he said, “is very active, very conservative, and very effective.”

(Reformatted, emphasis mine throughout). Again, if you semi-ignore what he says and tweets and concentrate on what has been done, for a non-conservative President, he’s pretty conservative and I’ve been pleasantly pleased when you look at Trump from that viewpoint.

What’s more, he said, Trump hasn’t just focused on one agenda area, but he and his team has pushed through administrative moves on foreign policy, deregulation, immigration, tax reform and health care, moves often ignored by the media. “It is a huge volume that his administration has worked on and it is a huge spectrum of issues,” said Binion. His report card jibes with one from the West Wing which showed at the end of the year that the administration has scored 81 major achievements slashed at least 11 major legacy items of former President Barack Obama.

Which is ticking off Obama, his former Administration members, and Socialists in general.  Which is fine by me as it was one of the reasons I voted for him – Obama went WAY too far to the Left – HARD Left.  Yet, the MSM tried to paint him as a “moderate”.  But then again, the MSM has gone Left as well.
