I’M SORRY, BUT IF YOUR FIRST THOUGHT UPON SEEING A STATUE OF A GORILLA INVOLVES BLACK PEOPLE, then you’re the racist.
It took the townfolks to protest this stupidity to get it put back.
A statue of a gorilla in a community playground was removed because some people found the children’s plaything racially insensitive. The gorilla, which had stood for 19 years in the playground in Corsicana, Texas, was removed by city workers.
It only takes a couple or few overly hyper-sensitive to complain to the easily spooked / no spine politicians to have inanity like that go through. Put both groups into that cage until they either man up or return to the sanity that they aren’t the only ones in the community (and ruining a tradition for everyone else) and put a stop to this “collective guilt” nonsense.
