While I appreciate the efforts of Vermont Democrats to drive more job creators and commerce into New Hampshire, I must take issue with blatant economic stupidity when I see it. Pseudo-Republican Gov. Scott has vetoed their minimum wage bill. The Democrat’s response is, well, stupid.
Governments should work to ease taxes, not toward easy tax implementation. Why? Because Americans do not just vote with their hands at the ballot box. We also vote with our feet and moving vans.
Politicians in states all around New England think they are economic geniuses. They know how much an hour of labor is worth for every job, everywhere? No! They don’t. But that hubris is New Hampshire’s gain as the New Year looms, and they force the cost of labor higher.
Vermont has more loons! And that’s bad and good. First, the political sort has taken over the Green Mountain State and leaned it hard left. Even the Republican Governor is a Democrat. Spending up, rights down. What’s the Good news? Loons (as in the waterfowl) are doing better.
Don’t get too excited by the title. I’m not saying Sununu is Reagan. I’m saying that Vermont’s ‘republican’ governor should be kicked out of the Republican party. And not just because he just bought in on impeaching the president.
A woman in the town of Hartford, Vermont wants sanctuary status for her plucky berg and if that means calling the Black select board member a coon then so be it. Media outrage?
A judge in Vermont needs to call the Judges in New Hampshire. Last month, Vermont tried to get a lawsuit challenging the States high-capacity magazine ban thrown out. They claimed the plaintiffs had no standing. Superior Court Judge Mary Miles Teachout set that record straight.
Got a call from someone (Skip) who shared a report from WBZ News (radio) out of Boston. They are rattling off ski resorts and those that are open. Killington could have skiing until June. June? Didn’t Jeanne Shaheen promise us that human impact on climate would impact snowfall and skiing?
It is the sign of a weak mind to immediately assume that a problem, real or imagined, is due to inadequate government funding. It is also the sign of a socialist or a Democrat. And since we’re talking about that state to the left of New Hampshire, this begins to make whatever passes for sense in the People’s Republic.

My initial reaction to the news that Governor Sununu was climbing into bed with Vermont on a two-state family medical leave plan was something with a couple of asterisks in the middle. What in the name of General John Stark Are You Doing! Put those asterisks wherever you like.
Back in 2012 New Hampshire Governor-Elect Maggie Hassan said she was open to the idea of passing medical marijuana legislation. My first thought was, why? What did Democrats have to gain by putting their foot on the path toward what is typically considered a liberty issue? My answer was money and power.

On Tuesday, Christine Hallquist won the Democratic primary in the state of Vermont and is officially the party’s gubernatorial candidate. Such a win would normally not receive much attention at all. However, Hallquist, who spent most of his life by the given name ‘David’, now lives as a transgender woman. As we’re well aware, that in itself launches him to a place of prominence among Leftists. As an actual, biological female, I find such obsessions not only irritating but downright insulting.
The People running the People’s Republic of Vermont (into the ground) have decided to offer 10,000.00 dollar bribes to the first 100 people who qualify for what they are calling a Remote-Worker Grant Program. To get the cash incentive you have to move yourself and your remote-work job to the Green Mountain State, (and then pay taxes, backstop socialized medicine and other rising welfare costs, along with increasing unfriendly policies towards natural rights including speech, property, and self-defense).
I think they left (most of that) out of the brochure.
In the heat of the moment, Vermont has gone full-Sanders and embraced a package of gun restrictions and limitations that will do absolutely nothing to reduce the odds of any illegal shooting in the state.
