Treaties, Irony, and Gun Rights – Oh My!

When second or third world Muslim Freedom fighters want to overthrow a controlling oppressive government, the Obama administration is Johnny-on-the-spot with…well…guns; other peoples money for guns or training in the use of guns, or some such thing.  But when American citizens want to exercise their second amendment right to lawful gun ownership (at their own expense) as a long term deterrent to the potential threat of a controlling and oppressive government, Obama and the Democrats want to do everything and anything they can to make that exercise as difficult as possible, if not impossible.

So yes, you need guns in pursuit of liberty and freedom from controlling oppressive regimes just not this one.

WAR (Updated: Egypt calls for Arab response to attacks on Palestinians)

map-of-israel

(Updates are at the end of the original post)

Israel has had enough of the rocket attacks and has approved “Vigorous Action” against the Terrorist infrastructures in the Gaza strip.  They are calling up reserves, and will initiate a ground force invasion if necessary to stop the attacks on their population.  For the time being, air strikes and other surgical attacks will continue against targets in Gaza.

Simultaneously, the government of Israel is also prepared to Annex the West Bank if the Palestinian Authority (PA) continues to violate the Oslo accords by pursuing state hood through the UN without negotiating with Israel.

UN Arms Treaty Dead…But Not The Discussion

Gun Rights win - UN arms treaty collapsesI was writing a follow up to our grass roots effort to contact New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte--to push her off the fence, basically, to vote against the UN Arms Treaty.  Senator Ayotte eventually agreed with us and along with Senator Portman–who is typically an unreliable centrist on issues like this–made it impossible for the treaty to get Senate Approval.

Yeah, we were pretty jacked about it.  But not everyone was convinced it was the right thing to do.

Someone Ask Hassan-Endorsing UN Envoy to Haiti Bill Clinton – What Happened to “Building Back Better?”

Bill Clinton will be handing a steaming pile of an endorsement to New Hampshire Democrat candidate (for governor) Maggie Hassan, so while he’s here, can someone ask him what the hell happened in Haiti?

Not that long ago the left was suggesting that Clinton’s ‘Earthquake relief efforts there might be his lasting legacy.  (As opposed to the DNA on the Interns Blue Dress, perjury and impeachment?)  OK.  Well how’s that working out?

About as well as anyone could expect of any global UN relief effort “spearheaded” by a skirt chasing publicity hound like William Jefferson Clinton.

GrokTV Event – Rumney home event for Ovide Lamontagne (Candidate, NH Governor) – Question 4: UN Arms treaty mean US gun control imposed on us?

The folks who attended the home event in Rumney, NH for Ovide Lamontagne (vying to be the Republican nominee for NH Governor) changed the topic to one that is near and dear to many (if not most) New Hampshire-ites: Guns and the ability to possess and use firearms.  Why?  In some cases, like moi, simply … Read more

GrokTV Event: GSPLPAC presents Rosa Koire on Agenda 21 – Parts 6 and 7

I’ll tell you, the more I hear about the subject, the thoughts of “are you serious”?  Yet, when I look at the example in Portland, Oregon where “sustainable development” is the end-all-be-all of urban planning, I start to think “mmmm, maybe there is something to this” (here, here, here, and here).  Skyrocketing housing costs have … Read more

GrokTV Event: GSPLPAC presents Rosa Koire on Agenda 21 – Parts 3, 4, and 5

Rosa Koire continued to talk this past Tuesday night about how the UN Agenda 21 program has made its way into the Federal bureaucracy and what it means for New Hampshire citizens, their private property, and the traditional NH town life.  She outlined how representatives from the EPA, DOT, and HUD are out to change … Read more

GrokTV Event: GSPLPAC presents Rosa Koire on Agenda 21 – Parts 1 & 2

Behind The Green Mask: UN Agenda 21

Tuesday night, the Granite State Patriot Liberty PAC presented Rosa Koire, author of the book “BEHIND THE GREEN MASK: U.N. Agenda 21– The Agenda for the 21st Century Sustainable Development.

She spent two hours talking about how zoning laws have been targeted by those wishing implement mandatory high density housing, the community data compiled by local towns and cities that would be used against them in attempts to “provide justice against institutionalized racism”, the attacks on personal property by calls to move to a commutarian philosophy (where the “common good” outweighs any Rights of the individual), and a forced move from personal cars to an all public transportation model.  Governance would go from elected and accountable officials to an unaccountable and unelected bureaucratic regionalism model.

ONE Campaign to Rule Them All

I’ve been warning people about ONE Campaign, hapless New Hampshire Republican politicians in particular, for years now.  While they were lining up like fools for photo-ops, I outlined the global government agenda for ONE campaign.   I linked ONE to the UN’s corrupt, anti-liberty, anti-American Millennium development goals.  I even connected ONE to Senator Obama’s shared objective of a mandated tax on American GDP to fund the ONE campaign agenda and others like it (All of that can be found here).

One is just one of many corrupt, global, social justice frontmen for the same old socialist song and dance-the redistribution of other people’s wealth.  Just ask Bono.  He helped found ONE, asks other people to donate to it in large sums, supports those mandated taxes on all GDP to fund that agenda, then runs off to seek a tax haven to avoid…paying twice as much in taxes.

But we are not here today to talk about Bono’s tax hypocrisy.  Left-wing hypocrites are like pigeons in the park.  They are everywhere.  All they do is sh*t on you,  and surround you, look at you sideways and squawk at you until you cough up the free stuff, and then they sh*t on you some more.  (The #Occupy Wall Street freaks are just big pigeons, by the look of things.)

What we are here to talk about today is the corruption of ONE Campaign, and there is more than enough of that to go around.

Letter Doodlings – You can’t be just a little sovereign

Dr. Leo Sandy (aka “the nutty professor”), I guess, had a problem with my rebuttal in the Laconia Daily Sun and decided to try to lambast me (his full Letter after the jump):

U.S. Public Law 107-243 is as invalid as the Jim Crow laws of the south used to be because both are based on false premises. History is full of bad laws that were changed only after being broken. I’m sure the Saudis who attacked the World Trade Center had their own versions of these laws as well, and their cause was equally unjustified.

Mr. Murphy is engaging in concrete, black/white, either/or, dualistic thinking that is one of the greatest obstacle to world peace. Absolute sovereignty and total world government are both abhorrent structures as far as I’m concerned.

He seems to have a problem when things are the way he wishes (really, a Congressional Law is “Jim Crow”….so of course, I answered!

Letter to the Editor – Professor Leo Sandy is wrong on all counts

His two Letter are after the jump – here is my Letter discussing his “points”:

Leo Sandy may be “amused by writers who chide me for violating bad laws” but I’m reduced to guffaws at his latest letters attempts to not only re-write history but also declare what are enforceable laws and facts. For an Education Professor, he proves his need for his own remedial tutoring.

While he does not care for the fact that the U.S. is yet still a sovereign nation, this remains a non-negotiable fact. I remind him that although we participate in the UN and some UN treaties, we have not as of yet ceded that sovereignty (a fact that must raise his one-world angst often). Thus, the U.S. does not need permission from the UN in advancing its own interests (which stray far, thankfully, from Dr. Leo’s).

ONE Vote NH Censoring Facebook Comments?

ONE Campaing is a globalist shamMy Objection to the underlying agenda of the ONE Campaign should be well known.  ONE is part and parcel with the UN Millennium Goals (MDG) which use poverty (in the case of ONE Campaign) to milk western democracies in support of global governance and the entire UN MDG agenda.  (Ugly details here, and here)

Why bring it up?  Recent remarks were posted on the ONE Campaign New Hampshire Facebook page asking if their group was the same one that promoted global redistribution of wealth.  A follow-up comment indicated that this was correct.  Both were promptly "vanished."  Deleted from the page.  Kind of the way political opponents are ‘vanished’ in many of the countries struck by the kind of poverty ONE campaign claims to be fighting against.

No arguments to the contrary?  No debate.  No challenge to the assumption that ONE is party to global redistribution of wealth or is connected to the UN and its Millennium Development Goals agenda? An agenda that would deny the right to self defense, implement anti-American treaties and awful UN education policies (to name but a few)?  Just delete the comments and hope it goes away?

Oops.  That’s not going to happen.

“United Nations: Where America feeds the hands that bite it” – Gregory Nunn

The Second Amendment debate is a never-ending and ongoing debate that has taken the argument all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. District of Columbia v. Heller, held that the Second Amendment is an individual’s protected right to possess a firearm for lawful purposes in federal enclaves; Purposes such as self-defense within the personal domicile. McDonald v. Chicago,2 was also a landmark Supreme Court decision to determine whether the Second Amendment is applicable to the individual states. Summarily, the Court held an individual’s right to “keep and bear arms” is incorporated by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment and does in fact apply to states.  It is without dispute that the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is fundamentally, culturally, and socially a cornerstone of American life, underscoring the natural right of self-defense which is essential to liberty.

As of 1986, thirty-five states had some form of right to carry through licensure. of those thirty-five states, only eight were “shall-issue” states (meaning a license must be issued if no legal reason existed to prohibit such issuance); nineteen of those states were “may-issue” states (meaning the issuing authority could issue or deny upon his or her own discretion) and only one state (Vermont) was unrestricted (meaning no licensure required to carry a firearm concealed or openly). Fifteen states were “no-issue” states.  Meanwhile, Legislatures across the nation acted over the last 25 years.  Presently forty-eight states have some form of right to carry through licensure. Wisconsin and Illinois still do not allow citizens the right to carry guns, nor does the District of Columbia.

A whole lot of people, organizations and groups, have spent time, money and energy to advocate for second amendment issues, pass laws and pave the way for the right to keep and bear arms. Despite this, it totally confounds me why some of our citizens, despite their stated support for the second amendment, still turn around and vote for gun-grabbing liberals like Barack Obama?
