The Invertebrate Jeanne Shaheen?

So did Jeanne Shaheen vote for cloture on the Reid’s Frankenstein tax compromise and will she vote to pass it? I ask because it includes Billions for a one year extension of ethanol subsidies that Senator Shaheen just insisted we could not afford.

Drinking At Dartmouth

Image Credit: Dartmouth Jim Yong Kim, the president of Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, agrees that Dartmouth has a drinking problem, but that prosecuting underage drinkers is not the answer, Melanie Plenda reports in today’s Union Leader.

This comes on the heels of yet another incident where someone served alcohol to minors.  So right away we can see the error of Dartmouth college President Jim Yong Kim.  The problem (in this case) is not so much that the police are punishing underage drinkers, but that they are trying to punish people on his campus who serve alcohol to a minor, in this case a seventeen year old high school student.

Perhaps Dartmouth would like to follow Harvard’s lead?

Fun With Paul And Carol

Anyone know if Paul ‘Sugar Daddy’ Hodes and Carol Seiu-Porter have decided to raise taxes yet?  That’s what that is you know?  If they allow any existing cuts to expire, they are raising taxes. Now I realize our liberal friends don’t see it that way.   They look at it like this.  Since 2003/2005 the … Read more

DCCC Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet

The Morons at the DCCC have done the nation a service this Thanskgiving.  They have sent out an email to arm the tin-foil hat army with a ‘cheat sheet’ in the event that they find themselves in this unfortunate situation.

You’re settling in at the table on Thursday and in between shouts of "please pass the mashed potatoes," one of your relatives starts repeating one of Sarah Palin‘s lies, or some ludicrous accusation about President Obama that he heard at a tea party rally or on Rush Limbaugh‘s radio show.

There’s only one problem. The cheat sheet does not equip the Reynolds wrap wearing acolytes of liberalism with anything new.  What it amounts to is things they can yell instead of engaging in debate.  But the DCCC is not to be discouraged.

That’s why we’re proud to bring back the DCCC’s Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet. The Cheat Sheet will arm you with the real facts so you can answer back with the truth as soon as your Republican relatives start sounding like Sarah Palin.

I think this is the same card they sent out to the House reps to run on for reelection.  It really is just crap to be shouted over the Yams and stuffing, a list of so-called democrat accomplishments–only they left one out.  "Having policies so unpopular with the voters that they lost 63 House seats."

It’s about the only good thing to come out of that damn party and they left it off the list.

That’s OK. You know what to do if you encounter the cheat sheet.  Just ask polite questions.  They have no idea how to answer them.  They don’t know anything that is not on the cheat sheet.

And my suggestion for democrats this Thanksgiving?  This list is a real turkey. Pretend to be an independent.

The Cheat sheet is on the jump.  Don’t drink anything while you read it or it’s coming out your nose and all over your computer.  You have been warned.

Progressive Trade Rules

Being beholden to unions causes you to say and do stupid things.  Take Carol Shea-Porter for example.  She was against a trade deal with Panama because she claimed it would cost American jobs, when it would actually open up trade from us to them–they already had unfettered access; result?–it would have created American jobs. Provisions … Read more

Public Service Is About Trust

I’d just assume have a root canal without pain killer as suffer through an editorial by Carol Shea-Porter, but sometimes you have to take one for the team. So I have immersed myself in the last rights editorial of the soon to be former congresswoman from New Hampshire’s first district, which is ironically titled, ‘Public Service is about trust.’

Trust?

Before I proceed let me offer up a comment on Carol’s notion of trust.  In traditional progressive fashion the meaning of trust has had to have been tortured before admitting under duress and threat of death to its friends and family members, that Carol’s application of it’s meaning holds any relevance at all to the historical application.  In fact Carol’s willingness to even use the word in this context, nay–any context at all–in reference to what she refers to as her public service, is a public disservice to the word, the language, the people of the first district, and serves to cement the likelihood that she is the disconnected, ruling class political shill we suspect her to be, if not also clinically insane.

Ok, Like, This Is Me On The defict, Eh.

In twenty months the democrats have added $3,039,049,594,342.88 dollar deficit. (That’s trillions). That’s more debt than the entire history of America from its founding to 1990.

Muslim Brotherhood Declares War on US

Michael Totten at PJM points us to an article by Barry Rubin at Global Research in International Affairs in which Rubin alerts us that the newly elected leader of the Muslim Brotherhood has just endorsed a full blown Anti-American Jihad. Rubin explains the serious business that this is, with all the relevant consideration, but sums … Read more

Lunch for Lynch

Mike Hoefer is skipping his Lunch for Lynch and he’s asking the folks at Boo Hoo Hampshire to do the same.  He figures, rather than spend $9.68 at Panera bread he’s donating that money to Lynch for Governor to help fight back against the attacks by NOM. Number Poems

I neglected to share this, but on the first day of school this year my 5th grader’s first homework assignment in math was a math poem. Using numbers in a poem. That was the Math homework that day. Use numbers….to make a poem.

Just Another Load Of Bull from Buckley [updated 2.0]

The NH GOP had a convention Saturday to get all rah-rah and make decisions about the party platform.  They were hoping for at least 400 of the states 725 delegates but only 294 delegates made the event. That is not unusual but there are some who think it is in indicative of waning in enthusiasm. … Read more

I say Go Ahead–Run on that.

Democrats are trying to frighten people by insisting that we can’t go back to how things were when Republicans were running things.  And I can see their point.  They will certainly need to do better. But how wise is it to frighten people with the risk of 5% unemployment and budget deficits under 500 Billion … Read more

The Dem’s Have A new Logo

NH House Dems Travel To Oz

The New Hampshire House democrats have themselves a new web page and I think someone needs to contact the Attorney General; they are guilty of false advertising.

Obama’s Department Of Injustice

Yeah, sure, I'll check your status

I have a friend who lives in Arizona.  He has connected me with some private business owners in the state.  When they are not "biting their thumbs" at the lackluster feds, and warming up the courtroom for another battle for state sovereignty they–and to be honest all American business–should understand that even if they are not in Arizona, they may have this to contend with.

Have you heard of the E-verify system.  It’s gotten more attention lately than that pretty new girl who just started at the local high School.   Both sides of the aisle (and plenty of the folks squatting in the aisle) are taking the opportunity to suggest that using e-verify is a better solution to the "undocumented worker situation" than new laws, the National Guard, or even M1 Abrams tanks and Constantino wire.

By using e-verify–or so the theory goes–you cut the illegal immigrant off from their reasons for being here (unless of course they already have a career in kidnapping, murder, and drug trafficking). But the fly in this ointment is enormous–and probably not well known; if you are a business and you use e-verify, let me preface what follows by quoting Gomer Pyle, Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

From my contacts in Arizona…

…a business is in violation of the discrimination act if they don’t hire an employee because of e-verify.  Lawsuits have already been lost based on discrimination.

Did your right eyelid just start twitching uncontrollably?  Read on…

The Boyd’s Go To Court

Duhhhhh...Jon Wesley and Theonia Boyd were in court to face charges related to an underage drinking party in Weare at which they were the "grown ups.".  As professors of Psychiatry and Pathology, there innocence hinges on their claim that they were "unaware any teenagers were drinking" the night of June 6th, this according to statements by Theonia Boyd.

I’d like to suggest that they ask for a refund on their, what must have been very expensive educations.

Here we have two Harvard medical professors having at least some familiarity with the college culture, from both personal experience and professional exposure, claiming expertise in the fields of Psychiatry and pathology, and yet it never occurred to them that people under the legal drinking age, congregated enmasse at a graduation party, at a private residence, might consume alcohol?

Let me guess.  College age kids don’t have sex either?

Morons.

Making Excuses For Mahoney

The Mahoney supporters seem unwilling to answer to the charge that Sean is playing games with his principles.

Let me break down the problem as quickly as I can.

Mr. Mahoney is on the board of a foundation that has recently (as in since 2008) given upwards of $160,000.00 dollars to pro-abortion groups and abortion advocates.  But Mr. Mahoney is pro-life.  So to address this contradiction we shouldn’t really address it at all.

My favorite excuse so far is that Sean never inhaled.  That is to say that some supporters claim he may not have known or did not approve that spending personally.  Maybe, but he never approved the spending in the GOP that drove him to abandon his position as a committeeman on principle.  Why hold the GOP leadership to one standard, and the New Hampshire Charitable foundation (NHCF) leadership to another?  And more importantly, if Sean did not know about all that abortion money, despite his position on the board, how can we in good conscience send a guy to DC to look out for us when he can’t even smell the blood in the water at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation?
