New Hampshire Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen typically parrot one another (they probably get approval for their talking points from their party bosses) but this time, they have proven just how disgusting and fake they really are when it comes to sending ‘condolences.’
Senator Jeanne Shaheen
Shaheen Lies Again To Support Planned Parenthood!
Planned Parenthood performs hundreds of thousands of abortions every year. They perform nearly 40% of all abortions annually in the U.S. It is their cash cow – and they defend it at all costs.
A Disagreement Regarding Heinous Inhumanity
I respect Eva Bak and David Riese for expressing their opinions last week against my article in the Feb. 27th edition of the Windham Independent and also posted here on the Granite Grok. In that article, I exposed the heinous decision of Senators Shaheen and Hassan, who voted to NOT protect the lives of newborn infants
National Popular Vote Gets Polite Death in NH
The NH House Election Law Committee voted unanimously this morning to recommend Interim Study, or ‘polite death’, for the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact bill. The bill, introduced this year, was retained in Committee and must be acted upon in the second year of session under NH House Rules. The whole House must adopt the … Read more
Has King Herod Reared his ugly Head Among our NH Representatives in Congress?
by David Scott Here are the responses from Senators Hassen and Shaheen on their no vote on the Bill by Senator Sasse [that would protect babies, born alive, after a botched attempt to abort them]. From Senator Hassan on Twitter at the bill of Senator Sasse. (@SenatorHassan): “Tonight, I voted NO on yet another partisan attack … Read more
Notable Quote – US Senator Jeanne Shaheen
No, she didn’t say it but a commenter, JT Tiffany, did over at the Union Leader:
Shaheen benefits from looking like Betty Crocker but She governs like Karl Marx
Betty Crocker? Funny, I keep visioning her like this:
Is Senator Shaheen Your Senator…or Just the Democrat Party Senator?
New Hampshire US Senator Jeanne Shaheen is not here to talk to any little people that are not her little people. When asked a question about more spending stimulus, as recommended by President Obama, that would be more debt spending at the expense of our children and their children, she couldn’t even be bothered to respond. I guess she’s … Read more
US Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D): all too willing to use the fear of the IRS to stifle TEA Party opposition? How Orwellian of her…
“…those who cannot be co-opted are isolated and then destroyed.“
I had seen mention of the use of IRS going against TEA Parties (Richmond TEA Party, Ohio Liberty Council, it seems that others are in process) over at The TaxProf’s blog (via Instapundit, much more here at The Daily Caller on what the IRS is demanding for information), but loyal reader Steven sent this link along from Big Government. Nice to see my US Senator Jeanne Shaheen all too willing to use the coercive force of Bigger Government (the IRS!) to silence her opposition! This proves the phrase that I have been using: “The Bigger the Government, the smaller the citizen”. We already have seen that Shaheen has no problem in using the force of the Federal Government:
And if you think that I am misquoting Senator Jeanne Shaheen and saying she cherishes abortion over Liberty, read her own words
“…a power grab as Government is reaching into yet another part of our private lives to force us to fulfill the selfishness of Progressive politicians such as yourself, putting your ideology ahead of our freedoms”.
From her own official US Senator website and the transcript of her Senate floor address from Feb 7. Read through it – how often do you read the words “freedom” or “liberty”? Does she quote one of the Founders? Does she reference the Constitution? Does she talk about Government overreach? Does she talk about freedom of choice for all people, regardless of any special identity group?
What is her highest value?
…I also commend the President for standing up for women’s health and reaffirming the recommendation of the Institute of Medicine to protect access to affordable birth control for all women. The decision to require health plans’ coverage of contraception with no copays or deductibles will change the lives of millions of women and their families for the better.
Ah yes, the Institute of Medicine – this batch of unelected bureaucrats have decided, in all of their fantabulous wisdom, that their pronouncement of a “want” (or even a “maybe should have”). Look, in terms of actual medical advice, they certainly should give it. But the United States is neither a hospital or an academic Ivory Tower. Instead, this is a political matter, a cultural matter, and one that should be rightly measured against the timeless principles of the Constitution.
What Jeanne has shown us, however, the game plan is plain from a Progressive’s standpoint: consult “the experts”, do not question them, and immediately put their expert recommendations into policy. After all, they know better what we need than we do.
My questions is, how long do the Progressives think that they can play King Canute and believe they can tell the Laws of Economics to suspend themselves (“with no copays or deductibles”).
Stem Cell Research Company Walks Away From Embryos
Stem cells. You heard of them? Democrats love stem cells. But just the Embryonic variety. Progressives love them so much they put embryonic stem cell research on the pedestal right next to renewable energy as evidence of their commitment to “science.” We heard all about it back in 2008.
President Obama rode the Stem cell nag all the way to March of 2009 when Dear Leader signed an order sending big bags of taxpayer funding, in the name of science, to support the next generation of cures for things like diabetes, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and Spinal cord injuries.
Jeanne Shaheen, Democrat Senator from New Hampshire, stood beside Mr. Obama, diabetic granddaughter/prop at her side, crooning in a press release after the executive order announcing that “Today, President Obama took a major step in restoring America’s role as a leader in science and medicine by lifting the ban on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research.”
It was the damn Renaissance, brought to you by Jeanne “I need a Blue Ribbon Panel to tell me how to tie my own shoes” Shaheen and a guy who had visited all 57 States. What could go wrong?
A Question for NH Democrats & Unions…
Is this the NH Democrat parties postion as well, and that of the state union, SEA, SEIU, Teamsters and others who are insisting that New Hampshire workers have no right to opt out of paying union dues just to get a job? Does the Federal government have the right to close a business or a facility in our state, and force those workers out of their employment, simply becasue they are either not unionized or have voted to de-certify the union, as is the case in South Carolina?
Jeanne Shaheen: “Porking” Those Tax Increases Down Our Throats
“If Thomas Jefferson thought taxation without representation was bad, he should see how it is with representation …” —Rush Limbaugh

Today’s Union Leader Editorial, entitled, “Free Cops!” points once again to the ills of having a big-government Democrat like Jeanne Shaheen serving the Granite State in the U.S. Senate. Like her liberal counterpart, former Congressperson Carol Shea-Porter, Shaheen brings home the bacon … To wit: a $1.4 million federal grant to pay for six new police officers; Providing four for Manchester and one each for Pelham and Claremont.
Not a new scheme at all. During the Clinton years we see how well it worked here in the Queen city the last time the Federal Nanny doled out money for cops. And as always, there is an end on the horizon for that funding which only segues the bitter fiscal fight also on the horizon. Police administrators, Union hacks and those in city government with a shameless fealty for tax and spend policies to keep those positions, will seek to have them funded on the backs of local taxpayers. Epic Fail. This latest grant is a mere redux of the same scheme.
Senator Shaheen is the epitome a big-government liberal. She does not respect local government, nor the people who elected her. This is a clear second example of such in just a few short months where Shaheen advocated for the Feds to contract locally with Planned Parenthood in the wake of the Executive Council’s vote not to fund Planned Parenthood services in the Granite State. Now she gives Manchester government a back-handed slap.
