Enemies, Domestic…

This pregnant pause, so obvious, and apparently so difficult for President Obama, is a blatant secular edit of the US Constitution.

All government officials and public servants are sworn to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.  Obama is closing in fast on qualifying for the latter status, with this (intentional?) gaffe.

Watch his facial expression, and his eyes, when he skips "…by their Creator…".  So painful to see.  So heartbreaking to know that we are up against this sort of mentality.  Obama’s world does not include the accountable individual, with natural rights, given by a higher order (or Creator, or God, which ever you want to use), not by man, or by Government.  These natural rights, not coming from man, cannot be taken away by man.

Of Mosques and Men…

For a man seemingly incapable of going fifteen minutes without saying "Let me be clear," President Obama evidently has an uncanny knack for being  misunderstood.  Following the iftar dinner hosted at the White House Friday night, headlines in every major newspaper in America – and even the New York Times – screamed something similar to "President Backs Ground Zero Mosque."  Within twenty-four hours came the update: "Uhh, no he didn’t."

Now we are told that he actually meant he supports the RIGHT to build a mosque but would not actually comment on the WISDOM of it.  Horse hockey.  The "eloquent" Harvard-trained lawyer-turned-best-selling-author-turned-president knows exactly what he meant: he wants everyone to think he agrees with them.  It should not be that difficult to come down on one side of this question or the other.  The debate we’re seeing in this country now proves that without question.  Given the choice between progressive liberalism and libertarian constitutionalism, I choose…neither.

There’s a reason why…a bloodbath may be coming

It seems that with effectively a one Party rule system in power (i.e., the Progressive Democrats that have been taken over by the hard left Progressives (and remember, Progressivism is nothing except incremental socialism)), all of the  ‘wet dream’ social engineering ideas of theirs have been slapped against the heart of of the American public.  

Individual resourcefulness?  We’ve got a Big Government bureaucrat for to do that for you! Self-governance?  We’ve got a Big Government policy to remove that pesky idea!  Want Government to leave you alone?  Oh, now THAT they have no answer for (except an emphatic "NO! WE have to take care of you!").

I swear, the Progressive favorite phrase has to be "Government intrusion: super-size it!".  After all, their ideas are just. so. great, right?  They think so – the rest of us ain’t groovin’ to it at all:

This has GOT to be giving Progressives that twisted feeling -President Hopey Changey has a rather large problem:

Rasmussen: 

  • 45% of Americans STRONGLY disapprove of Obama
  • 65% of Americans are angry at the Federal Government
  • 60% want Obamacare repealed (w/50% holding repeal is best for the economy) 
  • Generic Republican Congressional candidate has a +12% advantage over Generic Democrat

One of the foundations of Progressive / Liberal thought is that we should allow ourselves to be governed by an elite cadre of "management scientists" that best know what is both good for us and what needs to be done to have an "efficient" society.  It is obvious that they have done everything than can in the time they have had (with Obama’s Presidency and having controlled Congress since 2006).

It is also rather obvious that most of us don’t agree – but the Progressives…

True or False: Did Obama’s “Car Czar” favor Chrysler car dealerships who donated money to Democrats?

Everyone: The liberal true-or-false website at snopes.com says that the thrust of the information below is "false." But their analysis doesn’t mention the McClarty/Johnson Chrysler dealerships that now apparently have a monopoly in their area; nor do they mention Rattner being married to a former chair of the Democratic National Committee; and they don’t mention Rattner resigning and being under investigation. 
What I’d personally like to see is a national list of Chrysler dealerships that have given money to the Democratic Party or to Democratic candidates in the past. How many of those dealerships were closed by the federal government "car czar"? Maybe someone will come up with the data. In the meantime, FYI below.   —Tim Condon
