taxation is theft nh mug

Is it Time for NH to Lower More Taxes or Should We Cut a Few Federal Umbilical Cords First?

The Live Free or Die State is anything, but -New Hampshire’s State Budget is top-heavy with Federal Money. This dependence is embarrassing and debilitating, but recent tax cuts have produced a wave of new revenue. And cutting more taxes sounds great, but I may have a better idea.

One of our mantras is “Thank’em when they do right and spank’em when they do wrong so, step right up, (my) District 1 Executive Councilor Joe Kenney. And no, this isn’t a thank you letter so you only have one choice left as to why I’m writing this.

Data Point – Isn’t Great to See What Federal Spending Has Accomplished in Education?

The only people who have benefited from this rise in education spending have been the adults. The teacher’s unions, administrative bloat, and suppliers to the Educational-Industrial Complex.

Addiction in New Hampshire

We continue with Frank Edelblut, candidate for Governor, on the “opioid crisis,” solutions without more bureaucracy, and New Hampshire’s other addiction problem…Federal money.

And we wonder why we have $16 Trillion in debt to give to our kids…

The Feds have that Crack Money and local government just HAVE to get it. How many   Spend in the moment and justify to yourself – Nashua is doing it:

According to Lozeau, up to 60 percent of the funding used to operate the Nashua Transit System is federal money. Furthermore, the nearly $140,000 for the software upgrades will be paid with a federal grant leftover from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, she said.

If we don’t use it, some other community will,” Alderman-at-Large Barbara Pressly said of the stimulus money, adding she is very supportive of the project.

One has to wonder as ALL Fed money comes with strings attached; not one word as to what Nashua is on the stick for?  What are the long term costs that Nashua taxpayers will be on the hook  now that the money has been taken?  What are the legal ramifications if Nashua finds out “this ain’t workin’ as advertised”?  And anytime one puts money into government, does it evah gets smaller?  And what is the individual passenger mile cost of this system anyways?  What would be cheaper: running this or giving out vouchers for the private taxis in town?  Hard questions unasked.

Well, the Spenders in Gilford may still lust after “free” taxpayer money – but Troy, Michigan has figured it out!

Free money from the Feds, from the State, from the County…..Free!  Free!  Free!  Hey, grab it, because that money is FREE to our taxpayers – it doesn’t cost US a thing!  But those that wish to spend it, that lust after it, they hate it when the obvious truth comes out – er, it’s not free.  The money that they are so eager to lay their hands on has to come from somewhere – and the only answer is “from other taxpayers”.  As the money comes in, with such soothing dulcet tones “think of all of the things you can give to your constituents, your taxpayers – your voters” as they wave the wads like a hypnotic pendant: spend me, spend me – and make yourselves look like heroes.

Yeah, heroes – as the Feds pile up a $15 Trillion debt by which our present “leaders” are indenturing our great grand-kids.  Heroes, indeed – just call them the “elected gimme group” (as opposed to regular special interest gimme crowd).

Yet, there may be hope – that I am not alone!  In fact, there is one town whose Leaders are being true leaders and not participating in the bankrupting of America.  Even as all those around them castigate them for not taking the money, they show their wisdom by seeing the big picture that others refuse to see (or do not dare to see because of a lack of courage).  The folks in Troy, Michigan have had the courage to do just that.

NH Wind Farm Project Comes With Inside Deal Making?

NH Wind and Jeanne Shaheen KickbacksThere is a major Wind farm project underway in Coos county.  The principle players are GraniteWind, which is owned by Brookfield Renewable Power and a company called Freshet Wind Energy. (more on them in a moment)

Brookfield has gotten press recently because Brookfield Properties (same company) owns Zucotti Park where the #OWS hippies are hanging out.  Mayor Bloomberg girlfriend sits on Brookfield’s board, and George Soros and some other big Democrat Donors are heavily invested in Brookfield, which has just received a $168 million dollar Federal Green energy loan for the New Hampshire Wind farm project courtesy of the US Department of Energy, which was lobbied by the firm run by Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.

Just about everyone is short stroking that set of circumstances, and it is far too convenient to seem like a random coincidence, but there is a New Hampshire connection that is far more interesting if you just take the time to dig a little bit deeper.
