MAID in Canada is an acronym for Medical Assistance in Dying. It states that a person is not guilty of a criminal offense if they provide or assist in providing MAID according to the conditions and safeguards in the law. The Canadian Government created the MAID program in 2016.

Assisted Suicide Could be a Cash Cow for Funeral Homes and Governments
Where Canada goes, Vermont follows – remember, they did try to join Canada way back when – so it seems logical to wonder about this. For $700.00, a funeral home in Quebec offer “a space for assisted dying, providing care to the family and handling the body afterward.”
How Long After Vermont Passes Suicide Tourism Will it Tax The Practice?
If you pay attention to Democrat majorities, it won’t take long to realize something. There’s never enough revenue – no such thing as enough. Every stream shall be tapped, which got me thinking. Vermont doesn’t currently tax medical services, but it is about to pass suicide tourism.
Bananas: Why Are So Many Plants and Animals Committing Suicide?

The number of food processing plants experiencing such disasters appears to be high, but In the U.S. there were approximately 1,410 warehouse (not just food processing) fires per year between 2014 and 2019.
Follow the Bouncing Ball: Canada Wrecks Health Care, Legalizes Assisted Suicide, Organ Donations Rise …
There is a great deal of effort in this piece on organ donations from CTV News Canada to opine on the need for medical ethics. “I am concerned that people who struggle with a lack of self-esteem and self-worth may be pushed to see this as an opportunity to mean something.”
Assisted Suicide is Now Available in Vermont after a Zoom Call with Dr. Death
If you qualify as terminally ill (a definition that can change in a heartbeat – life is a terminal condition), Vermont has made it easier to obtain physician-assisted suicide drugs!
Assisted Suicide is Now Available in Vermont after a Zoom Call with Dr. Death
If you qualify as terminally ill (a definition that can change in a heartbeat – life is after all a terminal condition), Vermont has made it easier to obtain physician-assisted suicide drugs!
Oregon Makes Assisted Suicide “Legal” For Everyone
Oregon has rapidly devolved into the template for utopia. The Left’s Eden, the promised land. A place where criminals have more rights than law-abiding citizens and defending yourself is a crime. But if you don’t like it, the same state says it’s okay to kill yourself.
Gov. Run Health Care Lesson from Canada – Won’t Pay for Treatment, Will Pay for Assisted Suicide
A Canadian father with an 11-year old son couldn’t get the care he needed. Instead, that thing they all belong to in Canada, offered him a series of inadequate options until death was the only one he had left.

What Justice Ginsburg and Bill Maher Have In Common
Last week I wrote about some comments by Bill Maher that included this progressive gem: My motto is let’s kill the right people. Sure Bill, you and the rest of the Progressive Democrats for more than 100 years…
This is a party descended from eugenicists whose support for abortion and “end of life decisions” is based on a desire to “people” their inevitable man-made utopia with only the best the human race has to offer (as defined by them), and to use the power of the state to reduce the burden of any life that could be or has come to be inconvenient to that end
Margret Sanger was not giving away contraception because women had a right to it, she did it to prevent the birth of burdensome people she viewed as genetically inferior. She didn’t want them polluting her gene pool.
So today I am catching up on my reading and I discover a post by John Sexton in which he writes of an interview with the pro abortion Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg…
Life, No Matter How Inconvenient….Matters
Bill Maher has done us a great service. He has spoken the truth. He has uttered a core “value” of the left, one that goes back more than a century.
“I do believe in more DNA testing. My motto is let’s kill the right people. I’m pro-choice, I’m for assisted suicide, I’m for regular suicide, I’m for whatever gets the freeway moving – that’s what I’m for. It’s too crowded – the planet is too crowded – and we need to promote death.”
This is the kind of refreshing honesty you can’t get from most Democrats because they are afraid you will be horrified by it and never elect them to office. But this is who they are. And you should be horrified, and you should not elect them to office, because Maher’s honesty exposes the lefts intellectual roots. This is a party descended from eugenicists whose support for abortion and “end of life decisions” is based on a desire to “people” their inevitable man-made utopia with only the best the human race has to offer (as defined by them), and to use the power of the state to reduce the burden of any life that could be or has come to be inconvenient to that end.
Smoking Weed With Dignity
Chuck Weed is back again to take another shot at the death with dignity bill. This year it is called HB531 and according to this morning’s paper it is about to die without much dignity. I think we can call that smoking Weed. (Sorry medical marijuana advocates, this is not a story about pot.)
