He is not a “lefty” sort of guy, but he isn’t a conservative-libertarian either. But with Social Scientists now weighing in on the gun debate, attempt to convey clarity, ambivalence is the net product.  In our conversation over lunch he conveyed his thoughts about guns. Heidi Thiess, City Council Member in League City, Texas authored a resolution to to “protect and defend the constitutional right to keep and bear arms’.  It was introduced – and adopted – on February 12, 2013.

In her public statement, she said “It is not about having a right to hunt or shoot skeet, it’s about self-defense, from the criminal element on our streets, the common thugs, AND the criminal element within our own government – who wish to be masters of a disarmed and helpless people. Make no mistake, that is what this is really about, control.’

While non-binding in nature, League City, Texas has put those who might believe otherwise, on notice.
