Mr. Speaker, You Allowed All These Dem Leaderships

I am NOT a fan of our Speaker.  I’ve criticized many committee assignments here and called him the captain of a ship of uniparty corruption.

I am also developing a pattern of writing commentaries on NH Journal articles.  The featured piece for this one is their story of House leadership’s ousting of Emily Phillips from their inner circle. When you’re done reading it, I want you to know about some Dems that the Speaker is ok with having power and/or positions of responsibility.  Without further delay, here is the roster as seen on NH dot gov today:

  • Peter Leishman, Chair of Finance (Division 1, whatever that’s supposed to mean)
  • Patrick Long, Vice Chair of Children and Family Law (also an alderman running for D’Allesandro’s senate seat, BTW)  Power hunger, anyone?
  • Jeff Goley, Vice Chair of Fish and Game (also a sponsor of several failed boat taxes over his decades in office)
  • John Cloutier, Vice Chair of Public Works
  • Former Speaker Shurtleff, Vice Chair of Rules
  • Those were the standing committees, now let’s look at the special committees:
  • Karen Ebel, Vice Chair of COVID Response Efficacy
  • Benjamin Baroody, Vice Chair of Housing
  • Lucy Weber, Vice Chair of DCYF (where Leah Cushman was booted for administering oaths)
  • Marjorie Smith, Vice Chair of Family Division of Circuit Court
  • And now for the clerks:
  • Peter Petrigno, Clerk of Children and Family Law  (Petrigno is a hypocrite and a genuinely nasty person who said the executive council arrest victims deserved it.)
  • Jane Beaulieu, Clerk of Commerce
  • Alissandra Murray, Clerk of Criminal Justice  (We’re overdue for another Ed Mosca piece on her.)
  • Jessica Grill, Clerk of Election Law
  • Kristina Schultz, Clerk of Labor and Industrial
  • Lorrie Carey, Clerk of State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs

Next time you run into the Speaker, please ambush him with questions about the above mentioned reps being in their positions on his watch.
