One of the dumbest things the Social Justice “Igors” ever birthed from their fetid womb of cultural Marxism was “appropriation.” The idea that if it’s not your culture, you can’t have it, use it, or express it. Unless it’s white, Western, colonialist culture and, more precisely, the American Constitutional Republic – then have at it.
Seamus McGinty is forbidden to wear a sombrero on the fake Americanized version of Cinco de Mayo, but anyone with a head can wear a little green vest or a plastic green replica top hat with that annoying little elastic to keep it on, even after you get piss-ass-drunk on the fake Americanized version of St. Patrick’s Day.
It is likewise reasonable for people who have appropriated any version of Socialism, Marxism, or Communism to appropriate the freedoms afforded them by the American Constitutional Republic to take those freedoms away forever.
And no, not my first rodeo on this matter.
The example I use most often is typical of the problem. The left deliberately appropriates the wholly unique culture of freedom in America and the value and growth created by a free market Constitutional Republic to tear that all down.
And no, America isn’t or wasn’t a melting pot. For most of our history, the people who came here were white Europeans or adjacent. The majority were either offspring of Western Civilization or wanted to be. And the slave trade aside, the conquerors of the Americas were white people, and it was they who created the Republic and made America great the first time.
You don’t have to like it, but if you don’t, maybe stop appropriating all our freedoms and liberties and casting the nation that was created to protect and defend them into one that defines rights you don’t have unless the government gives them to you.
