The recent revelation that Uncle Joe Biden’s Administration, which is to say whoever was running the Biden Administration, was spying on Republicans in Congress should not surprise. It might be a big deal, but it isn’t a new one. Joe’s mentor, Barry Obama, spied on members of Congress, the Media, our supposed allies, and, of course, Republicans, especially Donald Trump, before and after he won the 2016 election.
Vast dragnets were deployed against Americans in both administrations, all of which were far more invasive than Watergate, but without the attention they deserved. Watergate was an international scandal. It consumed Democrats and the media (because Nixon was a Republican). But what actually happened? Some guys raided a Democratic party headquarters and searched through papers, that one time.
Obama is likely to have had dossiers on a long list of Americans, including candidates for elected office, as well as the illegal surveillance on the Trump campaign, his transition team, and his presidency.
It’s what Dems do now, so news that Biden spied on eight Republican Senators and one member of the House isn’t really news. The FBI did it to find corroboration for the straw man case against Trump after January 6. An incident the FBI was responsible for, with the help of (we now know) members of Antifa who were in the crowd disguised as Trump supporters.
All to cover up the disastrous mess that got Joe Biden “elected.”
To review. The FBI put hundreds of agents undercover in the crowd. The same political forces behind the weaponization of government, responsible for that, also fund and direct antifa street thugs who were there to help things along. After which, the FBI, which knows what it did, ordered surveillance on Republicans in Congress to try to sweep them into the net they’d set up to get Trump.
If you can’t win, cheat, and smear your opponents out of office.
Talk about the weaponization of government, and while I’m on the subject, Democrats are whining about political retribution during Trump 2.0, but as usual must ignore how Barry O went after regular citizens, used the IRS to suppress or prevent the rise of non-profits that opposed his agenda, and the long list of people Joe Biden’s Administration had arrested purely on political grounds.

Everything about J6 was political retribution and the weaponization of government against not just political opponents but an entire political party. J6 was a message. Do not gather against us, no matter how pedestrian your existence. A message very similar to the one Obama sent years before, when his IRS leaked donor lists to Republican non-profits to their activist groups, who then doxxed and harassed the donors.
If you donate to groups that oppose us, we will expose you.
If you gather to oppose us, we will arrest you (or, as likely, send antifa thugs to intimidate you and silence your speech to prevent you from gathering again).
They did all of this, and often. They spied on you, your representatives, and the media to suppress First Amendment rights; they later used government force to censor as misinformation or disinformation. The Dems did all of that.
As your local Democrats are stepping out in the social space to whine about Trump, take all of this and rub it in their faces, not because they will feel guilty or cowed, they won’t. Do it so that the people observing, who may be indifferent, never knew, or have forgotten who started this partisan political retaliation war, can see that truth.
They are the bully who throws a punch, then cry innocence when you punch back. But this is another 80/20 issue on which they are on the wrong side. If you stack up the evidence, it would take a very long time to just get to even, and America needs to know that.
