The Demo narrative suffered some setbacks this week. After Trump invoked the Home Rule Act to save DC Democrats from themselves, disconnected deep-pocketed astroturfers organized a protest. Proglodytes are politically opposed to clean, crime-free streets, and to make sure that message stuck the landing, they paid protesters to march and yell things.
Washington, DC is 45% black and Hispanic (and only 40% white), so what’s missing from this clip of protesters demanding the National Guard leave DC (Trump/Hitler, fascism, blah blah).
Brown people. There aren’t any. Maybe one. And the white folk look alarmingly like the sort of people who would tell each other to check their privilege even if they didn’t collect a check to be there.

Or as Megan Barth put it, “There is a demographic entirely missing in this crowd, which happens to be the exact demographic most impacted and victimized by violent crime. Is Georgetown a ghost town today?”
How many former or soon-to-be former Federal Government seat warmers are in the sample, I wonder. A few of whom took the bailout and are still on full pay and benefits until September. Or, maybe, graduates from the Loudon County School System. Lived near the city but like Sandy Cortez, are actually upper-middle-class (or better) suburban offspring. To them, crime is something that happens to other people on the news, and it’s even less common when the DC Metro police lie about it.
And since we know this is (at least in part) an astroturfed rent-a-mob, is this a job Black DC residents won’t do, or are the actual city dwellers who experience crime as an almost daily part of life strangely optimistic about a systemic reduction thanks to someone giving a damn about how they’ve had to live under urban Democrat identity politice indifference?
The Progs have indeed done them a massive generational injustice by spending billions on the idea of schools but almost nothing on learning, and still, they aren’t as stupid as their masters would have them be. Gangs and drugs claim their children’s lives, while other street crime makes living in the liberal ghetto of left-wing rule a life bookended by near-constant intimidation and fear.
Safe, clean streets make their lives that much easier. It prompts businesses to open in what were once commercial no-go areas. That means getting groceries, prescriptions, and other household goods is easier to access.
Suppose Trump can get street crime down and inspire something of a commercial renaissance in minority neighborhoods. Better lives for people Democrats pretend to care about for votes.
In that case, the beneficiaries need to understand that it can all go away just as quickly. Democrats promise more benefits, but that comes with the drugs and the crime. If you prefer welfare and fear, then you can go back to voting for the likes of Muriel Bowser. If you think real jobs in lower-crime, drug-free neighborhoods could be good for kids, then you have to do something different because virtue-signaling white Democrats are working hard to keep you down, and more than a few black Democrats are too.
Democrats wrecked your schools, ruined education almost completely, one of the few things that can teach nearly any kid to lift themselves out of poverty. Democrats did that. Dems defunded the police. They prioritized diversity over capability. It is the progressives who opened the borders, let the foreign gangs loose, the drugs, overdose deaths, human trafficking, refused to prosecute property crime, lied about the numbers, and made your streets unsafe and littered with human feces and dirty needles.
And when someone with the legal authority to try and make things better for you steps up, they try to stop it.
With 45% of the population, the black and Hispanic vote in DC could significantly impact the outcome of every election. Just remember, it was white Democrats shouting Free DC who tried to convince you not to.
