Can someone tell me… why?

Unhinged Democrats

“Truth dies in darkness.”

So do starving people.

Living in one of the most prosperous countries in the history of the world, I am dumbstruck by the number of liberals, progressives, and communists who would push Americans into Venezuelan-style inflation, starvation, and socialism.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why.

Yes, I know they’re doing it on purpose. But I can’t come up with a reason.

I was in the Navy for 10 years.  I visited countries along the Mediterranean, along the east coast of Africa, along the Persian Gulf, the Indian Ocean, and countries in the Far East.

I saw – with my own eyes – the desperation of the poor in Ethiopia and Kenya.

I saw – with my own eyes – the overcrowded cities of Bombay (now Mumbai) and Karachi.

I saw – with my own eyes – the jungles of Thailand and Malaysia.

I saw this.  And I kept saying to myself, “Thank G-D this isn’t America.”

Now I look around and see Democrats trying to destroy America.  I see them doing their best to tear the fabric of this country apart, all the time calling for “peace and harmony”.

Yes, I know they’re trying to eliminate punishments for legitimate crimes against both people and the property owned by people.

Yes, I see them complaining (legitimately, in some cases) about the injustices inflicted upon Americans by the same politicians that they voted into office – and then complaining about the lack of justice in the system.

Yes, I watch them complain about the lack of law enforcement and “unsafe streets,” and then I watch them eliminate or suspend the laws that might prevent crime and punish criminals.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why.

Yes, I know they’re doing it on purpose. But I can’t come up with a reason.

“If your friends jumped off a bridge, would you jump off a bridge too?”

If you say “no”, there must be a reason you say no.

“They’re looting Nordstrom’s in San Francisco, and Walgreen’s is shutting down pharmacies all over the city.”

Why?  What did Nordstrom ever do to them?  What did Walgreens ever do to them?

For the life of me, I can’t understand why.
