Former MA Governor, Deval Patrick, is reportedly considering jumping into the Democrat field of President. Just as we thought the field was starting to dwindle down, two candidates have ‘announced’ their entrance to the primary field this week.
I don’t know what the count is now on candidates, but I do know Deval Patrick doesn’t hold a prayer of a chance.
Patrick is the original author of the “You Didn’t Build That” movement that was co-opted by Barack Obama.
The fact that Democrats have candidates jumping into the race so late in the game tells me, you, and everyone that the DNC has absolutely ZERO confidence that any of the current candidates can beat President Trump next November. Maybe less than zero. Their field is about as weak as it gets.
Candidates announcing this late, especially after some states have already closed their primary filing period, tells us all exactly what we need to know. President Trump WILL win re-election on Nov 3, 2020, impeachment scandal notwithstanding.
Honestly, the best shot the Democrats have right now is to hope for a contested convention, where the Queen herself, Hillary Clinton, can emerge as a dark horse, last chance, comeback kid candidate and have a rematch against Mr. President.
Wouldn’t THAT be fun!
