December 2, 2019, a Date Which Will Live In Infamy: Neil Wetherbee Endorses a Democrat

On December 2, 2019, a date which will live in infamy, the Chair of the Derry Town Council, Neil Wetherbee, announced his firm endorsement of Pete Buttigieg for President of the United States, according to NH NPR.

Wetherbee was then serving his third term on the Derry Town Council.

“I’m proud to endorse Pete Buttigieg because as a mayor he understands there’s no … Republican way to pick up the trash, plow the roads, or put out fires.”

But Pete Buttigieg stands for a bit more than Mr. Wetherbee’s all too simplistic concerns about trash, roads, and putting water on fires.

Buttigieg won the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage award for his verbose hagiographic essay on Bernie Sanders — whom Hizzonah hailed as the future of the Democrat Party.

Buttigieg considers climate change a national security threat and a “long term” problem that will impact us forever, given Climate Tsar John Kerry’s vast additions to the CO2 blanket pumped out of his twin-engine Gulfstream G-IV.

Buttigieg wants every U.S. house to become a net-zero energy consumer, as does the “fabulous” AOC, and is in favor of the government buying your solar panels.

Buttigieg was one of a multitude of U.S. mayors who signed a letter to back the Paris climate accord after President Donald Trump gave two thumbs down to the unratified agreement in 2017.

He also supports the “Green New Deal” pie-in-the-sky, we pay proposals on climate and energy being floated by progressive House Democrats at a cost of $3.5 trillion or more, where every teacher gets a $500 check, depending on who counts.

Buttigieg is a member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a group that advocates highly restrictive gun control which would make most guns illegal while striking down Stand Your Ground, a la Mike Dukakis’s famous ‘retreat from your home and surrender it to the incoming criminals’ mantra.

Buttigieg supports the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, DACA, or the Dream Act, and would like to see Congress pass a law creating a short form pathway to citizenship for all undocumented immigrants found in the country illegally.

He also opposes the Trump administration’s aggressive deportation policies and vehemently opposes sending American troops to the southern border, calling that move “a waste of their time.”  Of course, it is, especially now, under Biden’s ‘America Without Borders’ policy.

Hidden amongst all the other folderol, Buttigieg wants us to pay for gender reassignment surgery for those asking for it in prison, another tax to be piled onto those of us still allowed to work and collect our pensions.

These are just a few of the planks in the former presidential hopeful’s platform, which are now de rigeuer in every left-wing Democrat’s talking points, as the party of Adlai Stevenson and JFK drifts ever farther and farther left, even turning across their own wake.

The new donkeys have moved from honest work to items owed them, to what’s free.

And by claiming that Buttigieg was his man, his main man for president of all the states and New Hampshire, doesn’t Neil Wetherbee also then support this decidedly non-Republican rubbish?

Or did he turn on a dime a few months ago and say to Jim Morgan, his financial advisor, “I eschew Buttigieg and Sanders!  I was hoodwinked!  Today, I stand before you as a reincarnated Styles Bridges Republican!”
