Is NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn harassing a small biz owner – because she can?

Update: from an email commenter:  “Shared. Having been involved in all areas of construction for over 30 years, also with pools, sounds to me this guy isn’t bull shitting and sounds like something Jennifer would pull. It’s very important when putting anything attached to, above or aside the lining walls of an in ground or … Read more

The University Where Nobody Gets Raped

Watching Liberals dance around their own cultural Marxism is fun, but rape is serious business.   Parents will want to consider alternatives to sending their daughter into sexual bondage at some progressive rape emporium, no matter how big their “endowment” is.

Understanding The Vote For Scottish Independence

From Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Scottish Independence Very funny, with some adult language, and a decidedly liberal host, but an “essential?” analysis for Americans, from someone who actually lives in the UK.  You decide.

Is the UN Fair to Israel?

Israel is a vibrant democracy with full rights for women and gays, a free press and independent judiciary. You would think that the United Nations would celebrate such a country. Instead, the UN condemns Israel at every turn to the point of obsession. How did this happen? Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Institute on … Read more

Timber!

Before I forget.

I work for Granite State Lumberjack Shows and since about 1993 I have been trimming and preparing wood for the Stihl Timbersports Competition. This includes driving a truck loaded with equipment all over the US and once in Alaska . We even did a show in Munich in 2001.

As far as I know, the 2014 Stihl Timbersports Finals we taped earlier this year at the Scope Arena in Norfolk Va. will be on ABC Sports:

Sunday, Sept. 21 at 5 pm

Sunday, Sept. 28 at 5 pm

Sunday, Oct. 5 also at 5 pm

Who knows, you may spot these old bones on the deck in one of the shots they couldn’t air brush me out of.

Palate Cleanser: The ALS Ice Water Bucket challenge – the MAKER way!

There is a movement that has risen up over the last few years called the Maker Movement (among other names).  Simply, it is people who just make stuff for themselves – don’t buy it, make it.  Electronics, steampunk, wood, crafts, arts, and anything else someone wants to do.  They do in the physical world what … Read more

Mr. Boutin just because you think you’re a big shot…doesn’t give you a right to push me or anyone around…

…wrote one of the gentlemen who captured a drunk and belligerent David Boutin on video December 6, 2012.  Union Leader, August 13, 2014:

Boutin said he has no idea who might be behind the recent videos, but said it might be people who don’t want to see him reelected to the state Senate and are trying to discourage him.”

Seems this may not be true.   Turns out, on December 7, 2012, the day after Boutin’s video performance, two separate people called the gentleman in what are described as attempts to intervene on Boutin’s behalf.  One blamed Boutin’s performance on his “sugar”, which we can only presume is a reference to some form of diabetes (we have no knowledge of Boutin suffering from it but are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt);  the second pleaded  for him not to harm Boutin’s “good name and reputation” (we are paraphrasing here).  In fact, the gentleman had written this earlier:

Palate Cleanser – “Ring of Fire” Slo-mo

Most of us are familiar with muzzle flash – the fire coming from the barrel after firing a firearm.  However, this slo-mo shows that the “cloud” devolves to a ring of fire.  Of course, watching the stuff acting as targets is always fun too! (H/T: The Truth About Guns)

GrokTV: Seacoast GOP Candidates Debate – Senatorial Parts 3, 4 & 5

Yes, I have been absent for a bit – hey, life intrudes on the blogging from time to time and it must be attended to.  One of the things on which I am late on is finishing up the posting of the Seacoast GOP (Exeter, Rockingham County, and Seacoast Republican Women) Candidate debate – as in the Senatorial one.  Thus, without further ado, here are the last three Parts:

  • Lightning Round
  • Formal Questions Round 2
  • Candidate Closing Remarks

Also, keep coming back as we will be announcing our endorsements starting tomorrow – these are the few folks that we consider to be Champions.  They talk the talk and then hew to it (with very few departures) – we won’t have to worry about their votes from a Constitutional or Platform basis.

How the Liberal University Hurts the Liberal Student

One of the more interesting tidbits from this installment: While only 12% of all university professors see themselves as Republicans 51% of those are pro-choice, 63% of them want more environmental regulation, and 39% of those want government to reduce the ‘income gap.’  So many of the ‘(r)epublicans’ in Academia, hold similar views to Democrats.

GrokTV: Seacoast GOP Candidate Debates – Congressional Parts 3 & 4

Then it was time to swap one set of candidates out and bring in a brand new set – those running for US Congress in NH’s First Congressional District:  Brendan Kelly, Dan Innus, & Frank Guinta.  Continuing on with the format set in the Gubernatorial Debate, here are the Lightning Round and Formal Questions Round 2:

Lightning Round (where candidates can only answer Yes or No to the pointed questions):
