GrokTV Event: US Senator Ted Cruz – Q&A for questions 1 & 2

Sure, US Senator Ted Cruz took some hard questions after his talk.

  • Question 1 – As President, what would you do to get money out of campaigns and kill the Citizens United Supreme Court decision?  Ted Cruz’s  answer is a pithy and well answered defense of Free Speech – a complete takedown of the premise of the question.
  • Question 2 – on illegal detention centers

GrokTV Event: US Senator Ted Cruz – The “pre-show” before the actual Show

Yes, when you go to these kinds of events, they are lengthy.  A lot of the time, you wait.  And wait.  And wait a whole lot longer as it generally take time to “get heah from theah” for the candidates to get going and extricate themselves from a previous engagement mostly on time.  And given the weather, yeah, it took some time for US Senator Ted Cruise to arrive and then what seemed “ages” to be able to walk from the front door and then get up front.  So, vamping and opining were the operative words before the Big Show started and all the Groksters took a whack at the headsets:

Joe Biden – Guns and Rights or Something

This is two years old but still relevant. The Low Information voter’s Ambassador to America, Joe Biden, has a few “facts” to share with us about guns, and rights, and gun owners, and constitutional rights, and stuff. (1m 9s) H/T Roland Six – c/o Facebook

GrokTALK! – At Liberty Forum – The Videos (Segments 5 & 6)

Continuing onward!  Next up is the segment where Grokster Susan has a dustup over “White Chicken Chili” with Greg Moore of AFP/NH and then the guy I keep saying “makes my head hurt” for coming up with another way to look at meanings comes on to talk just about that – and his Shaolin Rifleworks accuratized long guns.

  • Segment 5 – Liberty, Unions, and “White Chicken Chili” with Greg Moore of AFP/NH
  • Segment 6 – Ian Underwood on words MUST mean something and highly accurate rifles

GrokTALK! – At Liberty Forum – The Videos (Segments 3 & 4)

GrokTALK! continues! Next up are:

  • Segment 3 – Grokster Steve does a wrap up report on his trip to CPAC, Skip whines about a lack of sleep and bemoans doing the cold turkey dropping of Mtn Dew (yeah, this may take a while to get out of my system), and NH Right to Live Jane Cormier stops in to talk about some Life issues.
  • Segment 4 – Grokster Kimberly Morin joins in with a head of steam (“evil thoughts”) and we talk about NH State Senator David Pierce (“I grew a uterus!”) in treating women like numbskulls with his SB42 that would mandate contraceptive info about a company’s job application paperwork.  This Democrat must believe that all women only think about their ladyparts.  And former NH GOP Exec. Dir. (and main NH man for Chris Christie) Matt Mowers makes his return with the Groksters (no, not in person but we do mention him).

GrokTALK! – At Liberty Forum – The Videos (Segments 1 & 2)

As Steve points out, we were at this weekend’s Liberty Forum (Radisson at Manchester, NH) for a VERY extended GrokTALK! yesterday – instead of the normal 4 segments of around 30 minutes each, we have 12 video segments from around 15 minutes to over a 1/2 hour.  So, all the video has been snipped, titled, and … Read more

So what would be the difference between Jeb Bush and Hillary – Part 1

Jeb Bush – part of the Bush Dynasty.  It certainly seems that the Establishment GOP is rolling out the carpet for him; here in NH, he’s about to be squired around the State on Friday by Congressman Frank Guinta and former and failed NH GOP Chair Fergus “The Fringe” Cullen.  The problem for me is, how is he going to be any different than a Hillary campaign.

Issue #1 – Illegal Immigration.  Jeb wants to reward them (and so does Hillary).  We just went THROUGH a Republican debacle in DC after they all campaigned against Obama’s illegal immigration Executive Order overreach – and what did we end up for a result (ignoring their words which turned out to be as hollow as a dead tree)?

In this clip (starting at 3:54), he’s for it:  Its not a felony, it’s an act of love, drivers licenses for illegals, in state tuition price for illegals, and a pathway to citizenship

So what’s the bottomline? “Heck, I don’t care if you broke the law to get here, have we got stuff I want to give you”!

CPAC 2015

Lots of speeches. I started my morning with Newt Gingrich, listened to Laura Ingraham, Marco Rubio, and Governor Rick Perry. I caught some of Rick Santorum’s remarks, but by far the best speech of the day belonged to Phil Robertson who received the Andrew Breitbart Defender of Free Speech award. Phil gave the left plenty … Read more

Did NH State Trooper Sgt Sean Haggerty talk to Rebecca Blank? Both on the taxpayer dole, advocating against

Sgt Sean Haggerty has made a place for himself with the NH Conservatives crowd – and not necessary a “cool” one.  We DO resent someone who is being paid with our hard earned money advocate against our Rights (re: SB116).  And I WILL go that next point – I think the reverse is wrong, too.  I really don’t believe that someone in government, on the taxpayer dime, should be doing advocacy testimony.  Period.  Not their place and certainly not in their official capacity.  To give a straight laced, fact only report at the behest of our elected leaders?  Yes, and desired in some cases, but it should be completely devoid of any whispers of subjective opinion.  You want to do that – take a day off, show up in civvies, and announce your name and town rather than in uniform and badge (video after the jump).

But here’s another example (reformatted, emphasis mine) – Instapundit: “Taxpayer-Funded U. Wisconsin Chancellor Spends Her Days Lobbying Alumni Against Scott Walker“.

Rebecca Blank, the taxpayer-funded chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has sent a number of emails to alumni openly lobbying against a budget proposed by Republican Gov. Scott Walker that includes cuts to higher education.  A Feb. 18 email from Blank blatantly implores alumni to call state legislators to complain about the proposed education cuts.

“If you choose to contact your legislator on behalf of the university, I encourage you to thank them for engaging in an active discussion about the university budget, tell them you recognize that the state is facing a difficult budget situation and that the university must do its share along with other state agencies, but that a budget cut of the magnitude called for in the proposed budget is just too big and will have a significant negative impact on UW-Madison and its students,” Blank propagandizes in the email obtained by The Daily Caller.

SB116 Testimony: Londonderry Fish & Game Club President (and Grokster!) Rick Olsen

Courtesy of Ken Parks, Jr is Rick Olson’s testimony on SB116 (the “Constitutional Carry” bill which would have NH follow in Vermont’s footsteps: legal to own a firearm?  Then you can open carry or concealed carry.  No asking “Nanny, may I?” to exercise a plainly written NH Constitutional Right): It has passed the Senate, now … Read more

US Rep Trey Gowdy gives a warning on The Rule of Law that ALL should listen to

“You may benefit from the president’s failure to enforce the law today.  But I’ll make you this promise; there will come a day where you will cry out for the enforcement of the law. There will come a day when you long for the law to be the foundation of this Republic.  So you be careful what you do with the law today, because if you weaken it today, you weaken it forever.

UPDATE: It’s an annoying auto-play video so I’ve just put it after the jump.  You should listen to it because it perfectly encapsulates one of the biggest problems in the country today:

.223 Rally – 2015 Defending Your Rights: NH State Rep Carol McGuire and Grokster Kimberly Morin

Continuing on with the videos from the “.223 Rally – 2015 Defending Your Rights” rally! One of the most dedicated fighters for liberty is NH State Representative Carolyn McGuire.  Soft spoken should not be taken lightly with her – she means what she says.  On the other end of the spectrum, no one could accuse Kimberly Morin as being “sedate”.  In fact, Ben Sarro introduced her as “Da Fighter!”.  Do NOT cross her – you will find her to be more than a match for any Tasmanian devil in fierceness (and you will see a tad of that in the video):

.223 Rally – 2015 Defending Your Rights: NH State Rep John Burt and NH State Senator Gary Daniels

You know, it just hit me.  I’ve already put up the videos of good, solid and conservative / liberty minded elected officials – this post has two more.  But what I did realize, even as there were other good, solid, and conservative / liberty minded elected officials in the .223 Rally – 2015 Defending Your Rights crowd, I did not see a single one that would have fit the description of “Establishment GOPer”.  Not a single one.  I hear, sometimes, they’re in favor of the Second Amendment….but put themselves out in the freezing cold?  Show their face to staunch supporters?

Show up and support those that had a big effect on the top of the ticket races this past November?  Sorry, no face time with you!

But both of these folks did and they were proud to have done so!  Thanks gents!

.223 Rally – 2015 Defending Your Rights – NH State Reps Ed Comeau and Dan Itse

Getting near the end for posting up videos from the .223 Rally – 2015 Defending Your Rights on Saturday – in fact, this is the next to last post to cover them all.  Founder & owner of Government Oversite and now (Yay!) NH State Rep Ed Comeau talks about why he came to NH – he was tired of always having to ask “Nanny, may I” when it came to his Second Amendment Rights.   Also here is NH State Rep Dan Itse, NH’s Constitutional scholar and historian – you can’t figure out where yer goin’ if you don’t know where you’ve been and the make up of that foundational road!
