GrokTALK! at the SRW / RCRC Brunch – Part 1

Well, Saturday’s event at the Seacoast Republican Women / Rockingham County Republican Committee Brunch at the Portsmouth Country Club was fun to be there.  Even though I was under the weather (and in coming down from Central NH where some of the snow squalls were starting to go whiteout, that’s setting a low bar to crawl under), I was glad I went (and for the first time in a long time, TMEW came with me – she wanted to see Ted Cruz in person and not just posted on GraniteGrok.

So, time to play catchup and post what we livestreamed:

  • SRW/RCRC Brunch with Ted Cruz – Intro Banter
  • SRW/RCRC Brunch with Ted Cruz – Interview with Joe Barton
  • SRW/RCRC Brunch with Ted Cruz – Interview with Jack Kimball and Jo Horvath
  • SRW/RCRC Brunch with Ted Cruz – Interview with Jeff Chidester

And of course Steve has been posting the audio as well!  More video for this post and more video from the event in the next post:

NH Democrat Rep Mel Myler is “Tired of Hearing From His Constituents”

Rep Mel Myler
House Rep Mel Myler

Ann Marie Banfield | c/o Facebook

During the House Education Committee hearing today, Rep. Myler representing Merrimack District 10, rebuked the large number of parents who e-mailed him in support of SB101 saying he’s sick of hearing from the people who are e-mailing him. (Video on the jump)

Isn’t it the duty of our elected Representatives serving on these committees to consider all testimony and even when there is disagreement, encourage individuals to speak up? Doesn’t this kind of rant discourage people from weighing in on important legislation?

Words from Milton Friedman on unions for NH Rep Mel Myler (NEA Unionista)

Yes, Steve posted on NH Rep Mel Myler him “raptoring” those poor school kids testifying against Common Core and essentially tearing them limb from limb with his remarks.  I DO wonder why WMUR didn’t splash this all over their news shows and show similar contempt for this Democrat as they did the Republicans?  Liberal / Progressive … Read more

2016 Presidential Primary – Donald Trump

We here at the GraniteGrok have a history of trying to get to where the Republican Prez Wannabees are speaking and now that the November elections and Town Meeting elections are over, we are going to try to do just that – why watch WMUR’s 30 second sound bites when you can get it all … Read more

John Oliver – Civil Asset Forfeiture

John Oliver makes the absurd funny so it is worth the watch, but as you watch remember that in NH the police are on the record (in committee testimony) claiming both that they don’t do THIS, and that if the legislature stopped them from doing what they say they are “not doing” they would lose … Read more

The Criminal Arrogance of Hillary Clinton

GrokTV Event: US Senator Ted Cruz – MicroInterview with Ted Cruz

When US Senator Ted Cruz had finished with his address to the crowd and the questions, he did come over to the ‘Grok area where we had set up to talk for a few moments.  Knowing that time was valuable in getting to a couple of other meetings / events that day, it was nice to meet him in person; we had time for two quick qestions:

  • What Constitutional matters did we miss yesterday (he was on GrokTALK! the day before: “..the most substantive, serious conversation I’ve had in terms of a discussion of the issues,”  and he went on to “complement the degree of depth we got into on constitutional issues.”)?
  • The importance of politicians believing in “Honor Your Oath”

GrokTV Event: US Senator Ted Cruz – “The Wallet” & “The story of Snowflake and the White House”

  • “The Wallet” – I’m not sure how to describe this segment where a man in the front row went on a bit of a rant in support of a Ted Cruz penalty to the point of throwing his wallet in front of Ted Cruz (e.g., an open check)
  • “Snowflake” – a cute story about a new dog and the White House

GrokTALK! – At Liberty Forum – The Videos (Segments 7 & 8)

OK, I ‘fess up – it’s been a while since the last post from Liberty Forum went up from me so time to put it into gear again:

  • Segment 7 – We talk with Alvin about Liberty Forum and again, thank him immensely for donating the funds for 1 of the two headsets we are looking to add to the equipment roster as we often have more people in studio than we can put on air.  We also talk with Matt Simon who has been a long time marijuana advocate here in NH; he talks about the bills running their courses at the State Capital.
  • Segment 8 – former NH State Rep Emily Sandblade joins with Groksters Susan, Skip, and Steve and she introduces a new legislative concept for us: “Sunrise Law” (as opposed to a sunset law that fades out after some time or date).  She reflects on “too many bills” and the conversation turns to Kelly Ayotte and (again!) “White Chicken Chili”.
