So what else is new?  The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has “cleared” NH State Senator Martha Fuller Clark of harboring non-residents at her voter fraud mansion in Portsmouth.  Big deal!

The AG has been doing this kind of stuff since 1993 that I know of. All the NH AG’s Election Division has done is shift the spotlight to themselves. And it is about time. I am going to keep on exposing non-resident voters until the cows come home.

I stumbled upon Duck Dynasty when it first started: a bunch of good old boys just having fun  – and getting fabulously wealthy at the same time.  And then I started to really watch past the beards, past the slapstick humor, and figured out that this was as conservative a show that there was on TV.  Guess that lots of people agree with me:

Political Correctness police (almost always Progressives as they seek to use this tool of Political Castration to move Forward their agenda of Cultural Marxism) do what they always do – find someone who has upset your sense of being and then DESTROY him – and that is what they did to that Rodeo Clown wearing the Obama Mask in Missouri.  They simply have no sense of humor when it comes to their LightBringer (the Warmists are the same way and so are the Race-Baiters).  It is never enough to simply issue a rebuke, not enough to hear an apology – they have to destroy that person personally and financially.  Make them and their family homeless? “Good! – but insufficient!”.  These are EVIL people who see everyone that disagrees with them politically as just “those that oppose me” but really view others as bad people at best and EVIL subhumans that must be put down at worst.  They got him banned for life – taking away his livelihood and effectively making him destitute.

All around him, former “friends” abandoned him to the tsunai of politics that engulfed him, fearful that some of it might rub off on him (e.g., like the DC Republicans are doing now – political cowards). Democrats went bananas (er, clown, rodeo clown, cowboys – get it: Bush??) and Republicans, not willing to stand up to the Democrats per satire and that Pesky First Amendment, lent the gravitas of their elected officialdom so as not have the Democrats throw the Race Card at them in the backwash.

Yeah, 35 years ago and 31 years ago was the last time I sat in front of a blackboard with a prof.  I do remember well that first weekend as a freshman and scurrying all over to get all the stuff I needed to get set up – including my books.  We all did – was on a freshman floor with all pre-med / bio and engineers guys – I immediately knew that competition was HERE as I heard their SAT scores.  So, these rules for the newbies seem to be as applicable now as they were then:

1. Arrive early.

2. There might be homework due.

3. Bring your laptop — if you can handle it.

4. Keep up with the professor.

5. Be prepared to actually work.

6. Have an open mind about your classmates.

7. Start taking notes immediately.

‘Course at that time, laptops didn’t exist – pen and paper were it.  Pretty much all the rest are right (take a gander over at the site for the commentary). And imagine the shock when I realized after the first day in the hardest subjects (Calc, Chem 101, and Bio 101) that I was already two chapters behind in each BEFORE the prof picked up a piece of chalk (yes, chalk – not even dry erasers).  They worked us hard (math prof, Dennis Burke, later became the Dean) – this was NOT like some colleges that weren’t much more than a paid second high school. And slide rulers ruled the day – calculators were still wicked expensive.

Army to Rename XM25 Airburst Weapon

U.S. Army weapons officials predict that the long-awaited XM25 Counter Defilade Target Engagement weapon will be ready for fielding by late 2014. The weapon will be known as the M25.  “We’d take the X off,” Lt. Col. Shawn Lucas, the Product Manager Individual Weapons, said in an Army press release. “It’s no longer experimental; it’d be the M25.” XM25 is currently in the engineering and manufacturing development phase and not yet ready for fielding, Lucas said.

Army officials halted operational testing in of the shoulder-fired, 25mm airburst weapon in February after a soldier suffered minor injuries when the weapon “malfunctioned” in Afghanistan. The weapon experienced a double feed and an “unintentional primer ignition” of one round, Army officials maintain. The XM25 had already completed one 14-month battlefield assessment and was in the early stages of a second assessment when the double feed and primer ignition occurred during a live-fire training exercise.

It has been a while since I’ve written about Occupy NH.  Certainly we agreed upon one thing – that the combination  & collusion of Big Government with Big Business resulting in Crony Capitalism at best, and Fascism at worst.  Where we parted ways was on how to ameliorate the situation; they wanted even BIGGER Government to handcuff Big Business.  As a Free Market guy, I want the chances for Big Business to worm its lobbying armies into every nook and cranny of Government to go to nil.  It is ONLY because Government is so large, and has so much money to spend, that Big Business does what it does – follows the money.  Reduce the size of Government, turn much of the non-Constitutional activities back to the States, and much less cronyism can occur.  But I digress.

With the Lenco BearCat being pursued by Concord’s Chief Duval, who targeted Occupy NH as an immediate and present danger (along with the Free Staters, Sovereign Citizens formally, and probably TEA Party folks floated around in his noggin), Occupy NH wrote a very good rebuttal and made some very good points – and yes, I agree with them (emphasis mine):

Steve, indeed Adolf Hitler was Not A Conservative. This is one of my favorite subjects.  I find it immensely fascinating and amusing, when tangling with a hirsute, pony-tailed, pseudo-intellectual lefty at parties. It’s one topic that has been captured in older works by Hayek, Kirk, and Voegelin among others, and more recently by Mark Levin and, of course, Jonah Goldberg. Yet, it remains contorted. Many still believe if you’re called “conservative” or “right wing” in one country, then you are conservative in all. And that on its face is absurd to any person that has put a modicum of thought into it. But many people buy it precisely because they couldn’t part with that modicum. Plainly stated: not all “right wing” or “conservatives” labels are the same. The American conservative is the American revolutionary centuries on.

Before WWII burst onto the planet, American progressives and leftists (read: Democrats) loved the powers in Europe. They were enamored by Mussolini and Stalin so much so that FDR had his brain trusters make the trek across the sea to find out about the “third way”. What they found was so engaging they wet themselves (for a great account, read The Forgotten Man by Amity Shlaes). But when leftism lead where it inevitably does and the bombs started falling, progressives quickly had to rebrand/recast the enemy as right wing and counter revolutionary.
