In the newest five-minute course, taught by Joseph Telushkin, Prager University looks at how parents (and all adults) should praise children. The conclusion: reserve your highest praise of children for when they behave well…when they treat others with kindness. Good grades and all are certainly virtuous. But nothing is as important as good behavior. This is not just for parents. Anyone in any position of influence with children should know that goodness, not grades, are primary.
