The Republican state party sure knows how to pick em.  Take Jerry Little, Gerald H. Little, the NHGOP establishment’s banker/cash mule for the State Senate seat in District 8.  If you wanted to make another case for a candidate who contradicts a commitment to Republican principles (for state office), Jerry Little the NH GOP establishments Senate Candidate, might be your poster boy.

This is a guy who has been spending his money on the NH State senate for more than a decade.  On Democrats.

In 2000 he donated to Lou D’Allesandro, Rick Trombly, Bev Hollingworth, all Democrats.  (He donated to Bev in 1998)

In 2002 Jerry Little supported, Sylvia Larsen and Bev Hollingworth.  (Little supported Larsen in 1998 as well.)

Republicans as a party, the establishment variety, in particular, are like awkward children of privilege who get upset when their money isn’t enough to make them popular. They stamp their feet and whine, even threatening. How dare you do this, you’ll rue the day that. It’s all very annoying. But more than a few Republicans fall for it, much like large swaths of people believe the tripe that creeps out of the mouths of liberals.

For the left, the threat of preference is banishment from the collective. If you don’t get in line, you don’t belong. You’ll be outcast, marked, scorned, and probably ‘burned’ at the media stake.  It’s all very medieval.

Republican insiders play the same games, but their favorite cudgel is named unity.

On Wednesday, Governor Hassan touted a new program in New Hampshire that will collect personal information on certain prescription drug users and store it in a state-controlled database.  The “Prescription Drug Monitoring Program” will be put into place in an attempt to control the behavior of the small percentage of Granite Staters who are drug addicts.  Meanwhile, the personal and private healthcare data of law-abiding citizens will also be captured in this database. If you take certain drugs, Hassan thinks you may be a junky.

In yet another huge government overreach, which may actually violate HIPPAA laws, the Governor is pushing her failed left wing belief that she can somehow control the behavior of people.  Make no mistake; she isn’t the only one who pushed this.  It was apparently led by Republican Jeb Bradley a few years ago, passed in the Senate in 2012 and is now being put into action:

Sadly, we see in this Obama Administration (but starting before it, I’m sore afraid) another instance of public servants now believing that they are above “their” law and have become Rulers when their illicit behavior affects those of us who are just law abiding – a double standard. First, despite having demanded these records from the IRS for over a year, the agency waited until now (and in a Friday afternoon document dump, no less) to inform Congress of the supposed loss of emails. That makes it look very suspicious, and put together with Lerner’s refusal to testify, even more so.

Being RINO country, it’s no surprise that “Papa Smurf” Sununu is holding a Scott Brown event in Salem, with NH Senator Chuck “Live Free with Medicaid”  Morse.

It’s looking like the kick-off for the “Charge of the RINO Brigade” (or “RINOs Gone Wild @#!“) in a place where Brown, with his own kind, feels very, very safe…unlike debates, where actual, real, non-pretend New Hampshire Conservatives are likely to gather (see the “Scott Free” MBA Debate in Merrimack on June 18th here).

Fun Fact: In January, 2012, Senator Scot Brown (R-MA) was the ONLY Republican to join Democrats in voting for President Obama’s Debt Limit hike.

According to Senate District 8 Republican candidate Jerry Little’s FEC filings, the majority of his support appears to be from his fellow bankers outside of the Senate district.  While it’s not really surprising since Little was a banking industry lobbyist for years, it shows how little support Little has from the grassroots inside of the district.  You know, those regular every day people who want someone to represent them.  Since Odell ceased representing them with his vote for Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion (just to name one horrible vote), it’s interesting that Odell is backing yet another candidate who never represented the people and actually lobbied against the people and for the banks.

Carpet Baggers. This is a term now frequently connected to discourse about Walter Havenstein and Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown. Havenstein, touted as a successful businessman, was scrutinized over his residency issues, while Brown was far more obvious as the former bay State Senator who took the late Ted Kennedy’s seat in a special election, then lost to Elizabeth Warren.
