Not matter what, we feed them – on this we agree.

How do the towns feel about the AG of the state of New Hampshire telling them that anybody who shows up at their polling place can vote for their candidates, or their ballot measures, even their budgets?

Anybody?

Your taxes, your teachers, your public safety, your town selectman and counselors, the representatives you send to the state house.  They are no longer yours to choose.  Any election can be tipped by a mathematical calculation and infusion of non-resident voters who just happen to be ‘staying’ in your town when election day rolls around.

One of the State Senate primary races we are following is between JP Marzullo and Jerry Little.  JP is the Republican Candidate in the race.   Jerry is a guy the NHGOP found who has some money, a history of supporting Democrats, with support from people who have a history of supporting Democrats, but who is willing to run as a Republican.

As the campaign has progressed we’ve started hearing things.  Little is reported to be spreading some interesting rumors about his opponent, so we though it was time to air at least two of them out in public.

A good friend has been following GraniteGrok on the issue of the illegal alien kids invasion and sent this to me:

Skip – whatever happened to “suffer the little children to come“?  This isn’t a moment to score political points.  This is a moment to practice being a Christian.  Perhaps we should be sending troops to Hondoras instead of adding them to the unemployment lines.

He’s a good guy – a hard worker (former co-worker), a good family man, and takes his beliefs seriously. But he was offbase with this and I needed to gently tell him that:

“Suffer the little children to come” – use the whole quote in context, <redacted>.  It was never for us to call EVERY child in the world to come illegally into the US.  The full quote (Matthew 19) is:

13Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. 14But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15After laying His hands on them, He departed from there.

Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) decried the House GOP lawsuit as he addressed “all the white people in here” during the Rules Committee hearing — which was filled with battles between the Democrats and the newly unified Republicans like Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte and Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers, who both also commented to the Rules panel.

Forget about Hastings’ impeachable past.  What his statement represents is the increasingly open philosophy in Democrat Party circles that race explains everything, including the certain demise of the GOP in time.  Instead of acquiescing to this evil, instead of accepting the premise of this immoral racialism, the Republican Party must strike back.

MANCHESTER — The federal government has released 13 undocumented children, who were part of a flood of 57,000 unaccompanied Central American children crossing the southwest border of the United States illegally since last October, to “sponsors” in New Hampshire since Jan. 1, according to the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement.

The revelation was a surprise to state and local officials who said the federal government placed the children without notifying state agencies.

“This is the first I’ve heard of it,” state Senate President Charles “Chuck” Morse, R-Salem, said Friday night. “I’m very concerned about it. We have 13 people show up in New Hampshire we don’t even know are here. It’s not right.”

“This is an issue that is infuriating people,” Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas said Friday night. “How do you just send them without telling anybody?”

During our second segment of GrokTALK! this morning, we talked with Robin Eubanks:  “author of  Credentialed to Destroy — Robin S. Eubanks — calls in to update us on state and globally directed education”reform,” what they call competency based education.”   We discussed how the impending curriculum of Common Core and newest iteration of CBE really stems from the philosophy of Progressive John Dewey back around 1890s/1900s.  That people existed to be “cogs in the machine of society” and education was should to be designed to turn out compliant worker-bees.

Robin, and Grokster Mike, emphasized that such “education” will cut out the heart of the American economy – that “creative destruction” via innovation by those relative few that have the “bright ideas” that drive new products and industries (which history has shown has created a vastly higher standard of living than ever contemplated under planned economies).  The question that must be faced from the “new education” is this: if people are trained to be “compliant,” where will the striving be that is such a large component of innovation?  What happens to the “few strivers” when striving and risk taking is bred out of us?  The discussion of “the few” immediately brought this Robert Heinlein quote to mind (as GraniteGrok is, in part, named from a word from Heinlein best seller “Stranger in a Strange Land” – Grok):
