The flier above is what’s being dropped around Manchester so that parents and members of the community are aware of the egregious votes that are going on at the Curriculum and Instruction Committee (C&I) and will appear before the Manchester School Board on August 11th.  Members of both the C&I and the school board have said parents don’t care (parents don’t typically know what the school board is doing in the middle of summer) so they may be in for a surprise next Monday.

I really don’t care for the arguments that those that wish to neuter the Second Amendment with a Trojan Horse:

The only “smart gun” that exists in even a semi-viable form is the $1,800 iP1/iW1 Armatix combination. It is an electronically neutered 10-shot semi-automatic pistol in .22LR mated to a bulky watch. For the system to work, the watch requires a PIN code to be entered every few hours, and it must be worn on the firing hand at all times for the firearm to work with any sort of reliability at all. Armatix also owns a patent which appears to be a software “backdoor” which allows government agencies to turn off their firearms remotely.

What American shooter wants to spend $1,800 on a gun/watch combination that cannot be shot with the off-hand at all without failing 100% of the time, which requires a PIN code to function, is time-limited before it locks again, which is only chambered in the anemic .22LR caliber, and which may be disabled remotely by the government or anyone else who learns to hack the technology?

No one who is buying a pistol for viable self-defense, that’s for sure.

During this last legislative session, bills antithetical to civilian firearms ownership were all killed. Some died before they were even drafted, some only at the last possible opportunity, but dead nevertheless. Either way, what’s important is that the gun control crowd led by Governor Hassan lost every bid to restrict our rights. We thought we had won; well, at least for this session anyway.

Turns out, we thought wrong.

It appears that the NH Department of Safety – with no authority, no legislation, no administrative rulemaking process, no light of day or public input – has made a change to its Pistol / Revolver License Application that makes it virtually impossible for anyone to be granted a license.

The NH Department of Transportation Czar, Christopher Clement Sr., took some time (and taxpayer money) out of his otherwise busy day, to give us his thoughts on the 4.2 cent gas tax increase.  It is titled, Fueling the Gas Tax Discussion.  Minister Clement advises us to be wary of political ads bearing false witness–that is to say, you see all those campaign ads about that ‘skyrocketing gas tax’ increase.  Well, those aren’t the droids you’re looking for.

I bet you didn’t know this, but since that tax was implemented gas prices in NH have gone down to $3.58 a gallon.  I guess we can call that extra $33,000,000.00 million dollars Clement estimates this tax will divert from the NH Economy ‘free money’?

Something that is not mentioned often enough in the age of wait lists and ailing vets: New Hampshire Congressperson Ann Kuster sits on the Veterans Affairs Committee, and more specifically–on the subcommittee on health which has direct oversight of….the VA.  (cue Light bulb and ‘Ding’ noise)

But I do not come here today, at this moment, just now, other than in the shadows of penumbras inculcated above, to rag on Ann The McKluster Kuster.  I come to make fun of another Democrat on the Veterans Affairs Committee, who also sits on the subcommittee on health, whom Annie ‘F-Bomb’ Kuster must most certainly know–Julia Brownley.

As reported by Rich Girard on “Girard At Large” yesterday, the state battle over Common Core continues in Manchester.    Since the Curriculum and Instruction Committee (C&I) decided to approve what they claim to be “better standards” over Common Core and push forward to a vote by the Manchester School Board, there has been controversy about whether they are truly the “highest standards” as Mayor Gatsas promised.

Once people started looking at the standards, they discovered that the “highest standards” were nothing but Common Core standards with a few tweaks.   Since Common Core standards are actually lower standards than Manchester’s original standards, this is causing some issues with people who truly care about the education of Manchester’s children.   Meanwhile parents are on vacation and have no idea what is really going on at City Hall.

That’s when the storm started brewing.  A group in Manchester started dropping off literature about Mayor Gatsas’ “Broken Promises” and why they should “Demand Better” by appearing at the Manchester School Board meeting on August 11.  The literature drops are in various neighborhoods throughout the city and appeared to have started last weekend.  A bulletin board on South Willow Street (a very busy intersection in the city) is alerting parents that they can say “No to Common Core” by attending the meeting.

Remember here, the Leftist activists and the hoi-polloi of the Democrat elite solons (e.g., Reid, Pelosi, and others of the Cultural Marxist (more the Marxist, notably)) that have decried their outrage they have (faux as it is) for any of those “racists” that believes that the Washington Redskins and Chief Wahoo mascot of the Cleveland Indians is racist.  So incensed they are, they created what they hoped was a logo that would cause the rest of us (who pretty don’t much care what they are outraged about) to be outraged in reverse.

As the Indiana Jones “Holy Grail” movie said (paraphrased to the plural): “They chose poorly“. Yawn….we don’t see it as a “reverse racism” slap – mostly because we don’t really care.  We see it for what it is – mean spirited attempt to make us feel bad or outraged, and with our “consciousness raised”, we’d simply fall into groupthink lockstep.  Yet even as they attempt to shame us, they can’t see past their own upturned noses for the hypocriticalness.  Oopsies (reformatted and emphasis mine):
