Greg Gutfield – observation on Trump vs Jeb

I had noted this a bit ago and it still seems to hold true as the discussion is STILL about Trump vs Jeb: It is a great contrast between trump and Jeb.  You’ve got a proud vocal RINO and you have Jeb.  But it is like when you look at them together, it’s like comparing … Read more

College Students: why were we attacked on 9/11/01?

Sad, really sad, given the major effects it has had on the US over the last 14 years: Question: why does it have to be taught in the classroom – given that every years since the attack the US has de facto set aside “memorial time” to reflect on who did the attack and the … Read more

Remember The Media Coverage of Below Normal Temperatures in July?

The media has many weapons. Among them “are such diverse elements as… fear, surprise, ruthless inefficiency, and a almost fanatical devotion to the narrative.” May the Pythons forgive me for the editorial license, but then this is a story about editorial license.

It’s about the weather, dummy, or is that FOR the weather-dummy? Once respected institutions like NASA and the NOAA, the NCDC and others, take what every meteorologist and climatologist can see in the live data then, to quote Dr. Roy Spencer,

Climate Change: about the Benjamins rather than by Degree

Poor nations want U.S. to pay reparations for extreme weather

…Preparatory talks ahead of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change to be held in Paris in December has representatives from developing nations asking for more than an already agreed upon $100 billion per year for climate change mitigation measures. They want additional compensation for weather-related disasters as well as a “displacement coordination facility” for refugees. And they want all this to be legally binding as part of the larger anticipated Paris accord.

The U.S. and wealthier nations in the European Union are balking.

The $15 min wage spawns automated restaurant

We’ve written a lot about raising the minimum wage by Government fiat is unwise, silly, and an appropriation of private citizens’ private property.  By arbitrarily demanding that shopkeepers and small biz owners give low skilled workers something close to a “living wage” is nothing more than: Ignoring  basic economic law (like the Law of Gravity) … Read more

Redefining “Higher Learning”? Yale is certainly making an effort to do so.

Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut has two newsworthy stories this week: first up, a leader of the #BlackLivesMatter movement has accepted a guest lecturer spot at the Yale Divinity School, leading a one-credit course entitled, “Transformational Leadership in the #BlackLivesMatter movement.” Here is a photo of DeRay McKesson, the newest instructor at Yale:

Again, this is a new course being taught in the Yale DIVINITY School.

Notable Quote – Howie Carr

The mainstream media goes crazy about Trump’s latest remark, tasteless as it was, and most of the voters immediately remember the absolute lack of outrage whenever a Democrat says something as bad, or worse. – Howie Carr (reporter, syndicated columnist, author, and Radio Hall of Fame talk show host).   Dunno if “most of the … Read more

The Rule of Law – has it been transformed as well? Or just “disappeared”?

tipping the scalesCertainly that has been much spilled on the Left about Town Clerk Davis “not following the Law” (and yes, much discussion on the Right as well, tempered with religious liberty), yet as this from the OC Register points out, it is under this Leftist administration, the Rule of Law for those in power seems to have been diminished in the light of that Party’s name and hyper-partisanship that is existent right now (emphasis mine):

The most disturbing aspect of the scandal around Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server during her tenure as secretary of state is not the former first lady’s penchant for secrecy. . . .What’s truly unsettling is that it has been widely taken as read among both the media and the general public that Mrs. Clinton will likely avoid serious legal consequences for her behavior because the Justice Department is ultimately answerable to President Obama – and Democrats will not use the instruments of government to destroy one of their own. Whether that eventually proves true, the sentiment itself reveals a troubling trend in American politics. . . .

Already, her aide-de-camp Huma Abedin   (wife to pervert Anthony Weiner, disgraced Congressman who texted naked pictures of himself) has been summarily cleared by Obama’s DOJ on a number of counts – you really think her boss is going to be indicted?  How about the IRS and the cover ups over the Lois Lerner’s targeting of the TEA Party?  Or Fast and Furious?  Or now, the EPA’s toxic mistake at the Gold King mine release of 3 million gallons of mine waste to the Animas river, used for irrigation and potable water – anyone even going to get fired for this?

I doubt it – to the winner goes the political spoils or so it seems.

These are the people that Germany, Austria, and France WANT to come?

Rather, in a lot of cases, it is the leadership of those countries that are opening the door – not the ordinary people that will have these “migrant refugees” in their faces.  Leadership will safely be behind gates, government edifices, and armed guards.  One person tells their tale of her first

“Half an hour ago on the border between Italy and Austria i saw a huge crowd of immigrants. With all solidarity to people in difficult circumstances I have to say that what I saw arouses horror. This huge mass of people – sorry – but it’s an absolute wilderness … Vulgar, throwing bottles, shouting “We want Germany”. So what, Germany is now a paradise?

I saw an elderly Italian woman in a car that was surrounded by the immigrants. They pulled her by the hair out of the car and wanted to use it to go to Germany. They tried to topple the bus i was in. They threw feces at us, banging on the door for the driver to open it, spat on the glass. My question is- for what purpose? How do they want to assimilate in Germany? For a moment, i felt like in a warzone. I really feel sorry for these people, but if they would reach Poland – I do not think they would receive any understanding from us.

These are the kind of “assimilating” refugees
