It’s vintage Obama. Even when hosting the most ideologically sympathetic pontiff in his lifetime (climate change, Cuba), Mr. Obama cannot restrain himself. He cannot be civil and respectful, searching for common ground. . . .
Thoughts and Prayers for #23 Bills’ Free Safety Aaron Williams, who was taken off the field in an ambulance after this play with a neck injury.
Defensive guru Rex Ryan, the much heralded top-shelf Buffalo Bills defense (and the Bills’ “noisy 12th man”), held Tom Brady and the Patriots to a pathetic 500 plus yards of total offense and only 40 points.
Who says talking smack doesn’t pay-off in the NFL?
If that rookie offensive line of the Patriots had been more focused, and his receivers hands a bit more quick, Brady could have passed for over 500 yards, instead of for 466, and added four or more touchdown passes to his 2015 season total instead of just three.
As it was the Bills had to settle for an 8 point loss as New England beat them anyway, 40-32.
Long day yesterday but worth it the National Heritage Center for Constitutional Studies (“NHCCS”) Constitution Day. Got the chance to finally talk with people roaming around a bit instead of always behind the camera but did get a couple of interviews while running around checking cameras in some of the session rooms (as opposed to just being in the ballroom where the main session didn’t start until 4pm). It seems that the Master of Ceremonies, Rich Girard, had a similar problem – the subsidiary sessions had their on M.C.s so he and I sat down for a chat:
“With just one single exception, the attack on congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tuscon in 2011, every public shooting since at least 1950 in the U.S. in which more than three people have been killed has taken place where citizens are not allowed to carry guns.” –Criminologist John Lott H/T ‘Oct 2015 1st Freedom’ … Read more

What’s The Surrender Caucus’ Plan For Dealing With Democrats? – DrewM.
The usual suspects are very, very concerned that the other usual suspects aren’t willing to roll over for the Democrats on Planned Parenthood.
I give you Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire.
“Given the challenges and threats we face at home and abroad, I oppose risking a government shutdown, particularly when it appears there is no chance of achieving a successful result,” Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., wrote to [Ted Cruz] the GOP presidential hopeful from Texas. “Nevertheless, as I understand it, you have been circulating a letter to our colleagues asking them to oppose any government funding bill that continues to authorize funding for Planned Parenthood.”
“Gun Control: In the debate over guns, both sides are angry. The pro-gunners are angry at the ignorance, lies, and distortions of the anti-gunners, and the anti-gunners are angry with the pro-gunners for presenting facts.” ? Dave Champion
More Gun Control laws are needed. We need universal background checks. We need responsible gun laws. We need to strengthen America’s Gun laws. Any person who is against responsible gun laws is not rational. Gun Violence is at epidemic levels in our nation. Gun deaths lead all other violent crimes in the United States. We should look to Europe as a model for Gun Control.
What makes conservatism right? If you’re a conservative, you should know why you’re right. If you’re not a conservative, why should you think about becoming one? “If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?” —Scott Adams
“I’m crazy, I’m nuts. Just the way my brain works. I’m not normal. I think differently.”
Justin Beiber, in an interview with Clique, confesses that if she were president, he would,
“I’d probably fix some of the gun laws. In Canada we don’t really have any guns and there’s no gun violence. That really solves it, that’s for protection but it always ends up in some bozo’s hand.”
I was most amused reading this. The first question that came to mind was, “what does this little Canadian, egg-throwing, drunken, car-racing, cleaning bucket pissing douche possibly have to add to the gun debate?
Yahoo! News Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is expected to drop out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination, a Republican familiar with his decision told Yahoo News. “One of President Obama’s most prominent and least attractive qualities is his vanity. It almost disposes of the speculation that Obama is a Muslim. The man can’t be a Muslim; he worships himself.” – Scott Johnson, Powerline (H/T: Instapundit)
Riffing off the campaign mantra that Hillary Clinton should be elected President simply because she is female (or has she self-selected any other gender “in solidarity”?) – this is a valid reason to be President, just because she has “lady parts” (methinks just putting up with Bill’s philandering all these years MIGHT be a better sympathy angle, but that’s her own dang fault)? Via Bety’s Page is this observation about Carly Fiorina, a most proper one IMHO, by Kimberly Strassel:
She isn’t a woman running for president. She’s a presidential contender who happens to be a woman.
As it should be. Screw the Democrat identity politics; Republicans that don’t eschew that mentality deserve to lose (yet some think they can play and win at that game – poor besotted weaklings of the “who needs principles” lemmings). Oft,
Well at least Hillary Clinton is finally admitting she’s a liar. That’s the claim she’s making about an ad by American Crossroads that uses HER OWN WORDS regarding her email server scandal.
