Coddling U. vs. Strengthening U.

Breaking News – At Least 35 Dead in Paris

There have been multiple deaths outside a restaurant and theater–where as many as 100 people are held hostage. Explosions have been reported as well. Washington Times Two police officials said at least 35 people have been killed in shootings and explosions around Paris Friday, in the deadliest violence in France in decades. A police official … Read more

Leadership by Hillary campaign ad!

Yep, that’s Hillary all right: a Vision for prosperity, extreme Loyalty, Courage to stand up, Smart Power, Fiscal Responsibility, Private Sector success, Job creation; what a candidate! Yup, that’s right: “technically allowed to run for President” (H/T: Progressives Today)

Breaking News – At Least 158 Dead in Paris Part 2

UPDATE: 1500 French soldiers deployed in Paris, checkpoints established, and 158 people have been murdered.

UPDATE – Fox News reporting that 1 person has been arrested: “I am from Syria and I am from ISIS“.

My plan was to do a long post on the Cultural Marxism activism that is running rampant through our colleges and universities these last couple of weeks (even as that same anti-American sentiment has been capturing those units of American institutions for decades – having indoctrinated several generation, it may have finally come to fruition). Reality has decided otherwise.

Fox News is now reporting that up to 6 7 sites were attacked with much pre-meditation, large resources, and reports of “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great! – the Islamic war cry); of those 6 attacks, the soccer field where a match between France and Germany was going on with about 60K people were in the stands is reportedly the main target (and explosions there were heard) and two of the attacks were by suicide bombers.  This is going to turn out badly, to the point that the President of France has closed its borders and is calling out the military.  One Hundred concert goers are being held hostage – news now is that they are being executed one by one in that concert hall.  NOW, 5 more explosions happening in and around that hall.

I have two questions:

BlogHeadline of the Day: yeah, John Kasich certainly did

Kasich uses debate as opportunity to irritate voters

Yeah, pretty much that’s what he did.  I had to run down to MA yesterday afternoon / evening and just barely got back in time to watch the main (versus the “kids table”) Republican Presidential debate last night.  Glad I did – much better questions, answers, and back and forth on Fox Business News than the previous ones (including Fox News).  But I will agree with the headline – Kasich was a putz.  I tweeted out the debate and here’s a couple of my flash thoughts on Kasich.  Best one was the last one:

Says an opposing side activist funded by out-of-state money…

Zandra Rice-Hawkins ('Grok exclusive photo)
Zandra Rice-Hawkins (‘Grok exclusive photo)

That would be, once again, Zandra Rice-Hawkins, a socialist / Progressive activists from out of state and running Granite State Progress that is bound and determined to turn the State of NH into just another progressive state talking about the Koch Brothers libertarian political activism and always ignoring or skirting the fact that she espouses “only for me but not for thee” political attitude – only HER side with HER side’s money is allowed to do anything.

A group of about 10 activists, students and local volunteers protested outside before the event as well.

“We’re here to say we’re not going to be part of your marketing tour,” Zandra Rice Hawkins of Granite State Progress told the New Hampshire Union Leader. “How can our local legislators compete with millions of dollars being poured in for policies that hurt average Granite Staters?”

They certainly do not know what it really is

It’s quite amusing, really – there is a phrase out there that holds a lot of truth: The Left is always trying to shut up Conservatives; Conservatives just want the Left to keep on talking. Why do you think this is true, especially the latter phrase?  Just watch: Only ONE of those college kids was … Read more

Jettiness – now 3D printed!

And with this little clip on a 3D printing, it shows that yet another future manufacturing era is almost here.  The bonus that is in this is that it goes 150 MPH! ….3D printing just hit another benchmark, with the recent announcement by Aurora Flight Sciences and Stratasys Ltd that they have developed a 3D-printed, … Read more

Jettiness – FINALLY! A personal jetpack??

I remember watching the Bell’s Rocketbelt years and years ago when I was much younger and dreamed about having one – very cool until I got older and smarter and really learned it was really expensive, the fuel was rather volatile (hydrogen peroxide) and could only fly a handful of seconds.  However, there may be a REAL one “just around the corner” that may make a lot of dreamers sit up and take notice:

Jetpack Aviation is the brainchild and passion project of Australian businessman David Mayman. “I’ve been flying it off the public radar for some time,” Mayman told us this morning. “It was time to bring it out of the closet, so to speak. I’ve spent my life in software and mining and fairly sensible occupations, but my overriding passion has been to build a jetpack, since I was very young. Nelson Tyler and I got together 10 years ago –he’s an extraordinary engineer and inventor based in Hollywood. And that’s really what’s made it possible.”

Political Correctness – it really IS about silencing opponents and criticism

Bruce JennerAnd when you manipulate definitions of common words and socially suppress even the speaking of ideas that “cause hurt and pain”, you win the argument because any opposing ideas, philosophies, or arguments can no longer even be expressed.  Doubt me?  Just listen to Bruce Jenner’s own words (emphasis mine, reformatted):

BRUCE JENNER: MEDIA CAN’T SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT ME ‘BECAUSE THEN THEY’D BE HOMOPHOBIC

Being honored as one of Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year in New York on Monday, Bruce Jenner praised political correctness for silencing critics of his gender transition.  Addressing a crowd at Carnegie Hall, the former Olympian said his June Vanity Fair cover story changed the conversation within the transgender community, and noted critics of his life choices had been silenced by labels.  “No longer can the media say bad things about you because then they’d be homophobic,” he said.

Ah – truth wins out; don’t like the idea that people disagree with you?  Simple, easy-peazy, eh, just silence them?  Just adopt the

And when taxes go over 50%….

(H/T: Liberal Logic 101) Who works for who in the “Land of the Free”? If I am working such that most of my money is going to the Government, am I a citizen or a serf? Emphasis mine:

Thank the Democrats for dropping their mask in showing (and legislating) you that they truly believe your money really should belong to them.  You know who REALLY believes this?

Socialists.  Like the two running for President (maybe two and a third?).

Call Them What They Are…Fascists!

From the Harvard Law Record, Usually, we at Harvard are more than happy to see Yale students make fools of themselves on camera. The video that emerged this week of Yale students screaming down one of their professors might make for a good laugh, if its implications were not quite so serious. It’s a scene … Read more

Kelly Ayotte Went “Washington”

In Part II of our conversation with Bill O’Brien we explore how NH Senator Kelly Ayotte ran as a conservative but quickly demonstrated (once elected) that what “Washington” wants comes before campaign promises, GOP Platforms, or even the US Constitution. The entire podcast is available here. GrokTALK! is a Mobile-Ready Broadcast

“The people cannot be all, and always, well informed.”

“The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. -Thomas Jefferson

Hillary Clinton Channels Maggie Hassan… Threats of Violence Against Opponents is Funny

tony-curtis-boston

Here we have a ‘Citizen’ (video below). A veteran. He’s mad because Carly Fiorina cut jobs to save a company (while competitors collapsed around her). This just pisses him off. He neither knows nor cares if Fiorina saved tens of thousands of other jobs and a company that would go on to employ people for decades when other tech giants went belly up and unemployed everyone working for them. That’s not the proper narrative but he’s either unaware or doesn’t care. And he’s so mad he wants to strangle her (Fiorina)… and upon hearing this, Hillary Clinton laughs. She laughs.

I am reminded of some Democrats here in New Hampshire, and of one on particular, running for the US Senate, who also think violence against ‘opponents’ is funny.
