France close down 3 mosques – 334 war grade weapons found – 223 arrests
Police investigating the Paris terror attacks have shut down three mosques in a series of raids to close the net on Islamic extremists, the Express reports. Police in France also arrested the owner of a revolver found during Wednesday’s raid, France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said. Security officials found jihadist documents at the mosque where yesterday’s raids took place. They have placed nine people under house arrest. Another 22 have been banned from leaving the country Mr Cazeneuve said.
…He said: “In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year.”

Did The Union Leader Intend to Sell a Big Lie About NH Medicaid Expansion?
In one of Grant Bosse’s UL editorials this morning he takes Sen. Jeff Woodburn to task for exaggerating the value of Medicaid expansion. He’s right to do so but did he intend to sell another lie about the expansion in the process? (Emphasis mine.)
Expansion supporters like Woodburn will have a chance to make their case in January that putting New Hampshire taxpayers on the hook for a small portion of the program’s cost is a worthwhile investment.
They will be hard-pressed to show it’s made any progress in fighting drug addiction.
It has not, but is that worse than selling the idea New Hampshire taxpayers will only shoulder a small portion of the cost?

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -A day after Noshville co-owner Tom Loventhal announced the restaurant’s Midtown location on Broadway will close this month, he said he planned to close next year anyway. Loventhal said Tuesday the restaurant would close in 2016 because of health insurance costs.
“Because we have more than 50 employees, one of the reasons we’re closing a little earlier is the Affordable Care Act,” Loventhal said. “If you have more than 50 full-time employees, you have to offer health insurance. It’s an unknown risk that I’m not willing to take because I don’t know what the cost is, but it’s significant. WSJ | How does a man who entered the White House vowing to restore science to its proper place tell us that gun control is the answer to terrorism?
After all, California already has strict gun control, as does France, which just had its second terrorist massacre this year. Not to mention that the one time when terrorists with assault rifles and body armor were foiled, it was because an off-duty traffic cop in Garland, Texas, was carrying a gun—and used it to shoot the two heavily armed Islamists before they could kill anyone.
Shiny Object: headlines should not be about Progressives/Dems calling for Gun Control
Or in the case of the NY Times, an outright call for confiscation of guns. However, that seems to be the ideological wash of the day (as if removing guns is going to just get rid of Islamic Jihad?) – everything is about the gun and not about the evil “political ideology in a religious wrapper” which is the root cause. Instead, this is the important question – gun control is just the convenient cover – and should have been on every newspaper above the fold in the country:
“How did an Islamic guy who got an online Pakistani wife from Saudi Arabia and cavorted with people on the FBI’s terror watch list plan all of this without anyone noticing?”
Strangely, there is more outrage from the Left about law abiding folks exercising their Constitutional rights than there is about what the Left’s President Alinsky said at his inauguration in 2008:
