Today a new organization formed by gun control lobbyist Mark Kelly of Americans for Responsible Solutions was in New Hampshire announcing their coalition – Granite State Solutions for Common Sense. Not only was Kelly hocking this new organization formed by paid gun control lobbyists but he blatantly lied about gun deaths due to violence in the state. Ironic the organization is called “Granite State” when it is formed by someone from Arizona and further ironic they use the words “common sense” when they have offered zero solutions that would actually stop gun violence.
According to a tweet from New Hampshire 1’s Kevin Landrigan, Kelly claimed there is one death every three days from gun violence in the Granite State. Of course, Kelly is lying. All one needs to do is look at the FBI crime statistics and gun homicide rates from firearms in 2104. There were 6 total gun homicides through the entire year. That’s a far cry from Kelly’s bogus stat.
This is yet another out-of-state gun control astroturfing organization that doesn’t know the state yet wants to push draconian gun control laws onto law-abiding citizens. Anyone who lives in New Hampshire knows this is an extremely safe state. As a matter of fact, many truly grassroots activists have been pushing for less strict gun control laws due to state-sanctioned discrimination.
Moms Demand and Everytown and both failed to pick up any steam in New Hampshire. Any gun control measures they have pushed have been shot down, even in Democrat-controlled legislatures. Why they keep sending these paid gun control lobbyists to New Hampshire is mind-boggling. In the states with far more gun control, the actual gun violence deaths are much higher. Are they trying to make New Hampshire less safe with more gun control?
It’s no wonder there were multiple draconian gun control bills pushed by Democrat and resident hoplophobe Katherine Rogers. She clearly didn’t write any of these bills herself. There is no gun violence problem in New Hampshire. This further proves these people don’t care about gun violence but about control.
