Blogline of the Day – I swear I’m not making this up!

Ohio State Knife Attacker Abdul Artan Was Taking a Class About Microaggressions. His group project was due later this week. I don’t even know what to say as the irony is just too strong.  Seriously, I can’t even begin to touch this.  Just glad that a good guy with a gun (and badge) just happened … Read more

Is There A Price to Pay for Reaching Across the Cereal Aisle?

When confronted with people who do not believe as they do, Liberals screech, insult, intimidate, protest, boycott, threaten, and riot. Progressives use these tactics on individuals, groups, organizations, and corporations to advance their social issues agenda or to silence or punish opponents.

Take no prisoners. Resistance is futile. Never stop even after you get your way. This is how the minority party exerts a majority force even though most of the zip codes across the fruited plain lean the other way. We here at the Grok have been refusing to be cowed for over a decade and taken the fight to them at every opportunity. Some are suggesting that it is time for more of us to do the same, and take at least one page in particular out of the progressive playbook.

Lone Wolf Attack?

Abdul the OSU terrorist
Abdul Razaq Ali Artan

On the front page of yesterday’s Union Leader (Greater Manchester Edition) the subheading reads, “Professor knows some of those injured in Monday’s lone-wolf attack.”

The Islamic State has taken credit for the actions of Somali immigrant Abdul Razak Ali Artan who drove his automobile into a crowd and then emerged to attack bystanders with a knife until he was shot and killed by police.

So, if an international terror group takes credit for an act based on a global movement, can you still call this a lone wolf attack?

The Left isn’t getting that Trump just keeps on trolling them…

derangement-600ab-la

And a real life example with uber-Left (and Hillary rump-swab) “journalist”Andrea Mitchell:

On her MSNBC show on Wednesday, anchor Andrea Mitchell’s exchange with former Defense Secretary William Cohen turned surprisingly contentious when the Clinton cabinet official started lecturing the press on its obsession with every tweet from President-elect Donald Trump: “I think we have to be less concerned with tweets, chasing every one as if it’s some sort of revealed wisdom that’s going out into a rabbit hole – ”

Mitchell countered: “But when he tweets something about ISIS claiming responsibility for what happened in Ohio State, when that’s not at all confirmed, doesn’t that raise questions about the judgment – he is the president-elect.”  Cohen pushed back: “It raises questions, but also raises questions about the media. Why are you chasing it? Why, when a story comes out with a tweet which intuitively you know is not of significance, and yet, you spend an entire day analyzing it?”

Kellogg keeps forgetting that their customer base is not just those on the Left…

Shot:

“We regularly work with our media-buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” said Kellogg’s flak Kris Charles. “We recently reviewed the list of sites where our ads can be placed and decided to discontinue advertising on Breitbart.com. We are working to remove ads from that site.”

Chaser:  My dollars are no longer aligned with your products.

Hangover:

I don’t eat their products (listed at the above link) – but TMEW does….er, did.  But you know, if Kellogg wants to slag me simply because I visit their sites (and often link them up on stuff that matters to me), so be it.  They certainly don’t have to spend their money on Breitbart – after all it is THEIR money.

But that sends a message in which they are now complicit

And if once wasn’t enough…

Shot:

…So, while we understand the heartfelt and strongly-held opinions on both sides of the gun debate, it is with the safety and security of our employees and customers in mind that we respectfully ask people not to bring firearms into our stores, offices or facilities, even in states where it’s permitted by law. Of course, authorized members of law enforcement are an exception.

Chaser: OK, dude, my firearm will not as my feet won’t either.

Hangover:

While I have purchased Levi jeans in the past, I generally now only purchase either Land’s End or more recently, LL Bean.  So saying that I would participate in a boycott is rather weak statement.  And TMEW hates to go clothes shopping for herself so…

This is just adding to

Kellogg’s Values Now Include Cop Killing?

Kellogg got some more explaining to do. “The W.K. Kellogg Foundation, which maintains strong financial ties to the Kellogg Company, has provided at least $930,000 in support of the controversial work of the Black Lives Matter organization.” Kellogg Inc. is uncomfortable advertising on Conservative Websites because they don’t align with their values. MANCHESTER – Americans for Prosperity – New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today announced that State Representative Frank Edelblut will receive the organization’s coveted 2016 Tom Thomson Conservative of the Year award.  Edelblut, who finished 2nd in the Republican primary for Governor, scored a perfect 100% in the AFP-NH 2016 Legislative Scorecard and led efforts to oppose ObamaCare expansion and health care regulations in New Hampshire.  He also sponsored tax relief legislation for employers that quadrupled expense deductions.

“Frank Edelblut has been a leader on the issues of economic freedom throughout 2016, and it’s only appropriate that he receive the 2016 Tom Thomson Conservative of the Year award,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director.

OPEC’s delusional dilemma

All things come to an end – and it’s looking like it is now OPEC’s time: Shot: “The reality is that only Saudi Arabia and perhaps the U.A.E. and Kuwait are prepared to make any cuts, and those will be modest and short-lived,” said Bob McNally, founder of consultant Rapidan Group in Washington. “At best, … Read more

Yeah, I don’t know what this means either – academic stupidity

This is what happens when you let your kids grow up to be cowboys gender study academicians – they write a lot of run-on sentences that mean pretty much nothing:

Gender as multiplicity: Desire, displacement, difference and dispersion

Stephen Linstead, University of York, UK, and Alison Pullen, University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Abstract

This article argues that although gender is no longer widely considered to be a property of individuals, the alternative of viewing it in terms of performativity, where it is the outcome of linguistic and social performances, unnecessarily limits the possibilities of thinking of gender as a form of multiplicity that is both internally and externally differentiated.

Friday Humor – Gee, will the NH Democrat Party approve of this one?

UPDATED AND BUMPED – Upon the news that NH Democrat Party Chairman Ray Buckley is planning to run for Chair of the Democrat National Committee, I thought I’d make it a bit easier for der Google to help them out.  Originally posted on….October 15, 2010

They didn’t like last week’s joke; so, how about another aircraft hitting the ground joke!

Brace  yourself before looking at the below image.  A pilot at low level has no control over his aircraft. It narrowly misses a crowd gathered for the air show  and slams into four buildings. One can only imagine the horror of the occupants inside those buildings:

REAL Hateful, Offensive speech….Part 2

UPDATED AND BUMPED – Upon the news that NH Democrat Party Chairman Ray Buckley is planning to run for Chair of the Democrat National Committee, I thought I’d make it a bit easier for der Google to help them out.  Originally posted on October 10, 2010.

Remember, my punch line was “you know how that sumbitch lies”.  Others called for actual deaths (and yes, I forgot all about Nick Lavasseur) in my previous post.  I also failed to post up what the Google turned up…

How about question:

“How about this trip to the Hague?”

How about the answer:

“Hitler should have bombed it”

  • Was it a conservative that said it?  Er, no.
  • Was it a TEA Party supporter?  Er, no.
  • Was it a Republican?  Hardly
  • How about someone that holds a public office that is a Republican?  Nope
  • How about a Democrat? Yer gettin’ warm
  • How about a highly placed NH Democrat Party official?  If you said yes, you’re pretty good playing 21 questions (or recognizing the obvious)!
  • Is it a NH Democrat Party official?  Yup
  • Has he ever been called out on it by the NH Democrat Party?

Oof – to my knowledge, only by Paul Hodes.  Seems that the rest of them totally embrace him (eeewww!)

  • Has he ever apologized for his words?

Not to my knowledge, nor of Google.

Video after the jump (Not Safe For Work.  Or children.  Or sensitive ears.  Lewd behavior / speech warning).

Again, Ray Buckley, NH Democrat Chair, is, oh, so ever casual, in stating that Hitler should have initiated an action that could have killed thousands of innocent lives in the Hague during World War II.  That’s no joke.

And no, this is not an infraction of Godwin’s Law – Frankly, Ray Buckley did himself.  Also, frankly, it doesn’t even have to do with The Hague or Hitler.  It IS, however, a demonstration of a very callous attitude exhibited by the head of the NH Democrat Party toward innocents.  That’s no joke.

And the NH Democrats, knowing of the video at the time, still elected this person Chair, prioritizing results over ethics.  It shows the hypocrisy exhibited by NH Democrat Press Secretay Harrell Kirstein too.  Hey, Harrell?  What is the official statement by the Democrats on this hate speech?

Well, as NH Dem Chair Ray Buckley is making national news…

UPDATED AND BUMPED – Upon the news that NH Democrat Party Chairman Ray Buckley is planning to run for Chair of the Democrat National Committee, I thought I’d make it a bit easier for der Google to help them out.  Originally posted on Oct 13, 2014.

…and not necessarily for all the right reasons.  Not that this is new news for regular readers here at the ‘Grok (as this video has been played here multiple times) but ‘Grok friend Jim Hoft of GatewayPundit has a bit of a different spin on Ray Buckley as a possible head of the Democrat Party nationally:

Ray Buckley is the chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party. He is also Vice Chair at the DNC. If something were to happen to unhinged DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Buckley would step in and take her place. So, Buckley is an important player in Democratic politics.
And, he’s everything you’d expect from a Democratic leader.

Recently, a video was uncovered of Raymond Buckley saying Hitler should have bombed The Hague.
Buckley also pulls down his zipper in front of associates.

And this could be the next leader of the DNC

Chuck Morse – “our voting crap don’t stink” (parapharsed)

Morse Sells out over Medicard.jpgRepublican State Senator Chuck Morse is irritated.  My, my, the person who blessed implementing Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion here in NH allowing grown able-bodied men to sponge off the rest of us, is upset.  And he doesn’t like it at all.  Piqued?  Surely.  Angered?  I just wish I was there with camera in hand to catch the exact nuances of his “black gaze” and probable sharp tongue when confronted with “voter fraud” (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Capital Beat: Talk of election complaints touchy subject in State House

Don’t suggest voter fraud in front of Senate President Chuck Morse. The Salem Republican became agitated in budget meetings last week when the deputy attorney general requested a full-time employee to help investigate a growing backlog of open election law complaints.

“I don’t understand why it’s coming out today,” Morse began, his voice rising. “I have been assured by the secretary of state that our elections are good and clean. I wouldn’t want the press to know anything different.”

Hey, Harrell, your kettle is black

UPDATED AND BUMPED – Upon the news that NH Democrat Party Chairman Ray Buckley is planning to run for Chair of the Democrat National Committee, I thought I’d make it a bit easier for der Google to help them out.  Originally posted on October 29, 2010.

Maybe the NH Dem Party needs to “man up” too – whatsa matter Harrell, don’t have the stones to at least send your silly Presser to us as well?

So, if you want to complain about Steve, are you going to also complain about YOUR Party’s candidate in CA? From ABC News (no friend of conservatives):

California Attorney General Jerry Brown, the state’s Democratic candidate for governor, left a phone message in early September for a union official whose endorsement he was seeking, but apparently forgot to hang up — because a lively discussion between him and some staffers afterward is caught on tape. And either Brown or a staffer — there is some dispute — uses the word “whore” to describe his Republican rival Meg Whitman.

So, you’re calling Steve out for simply following the lead of one of your Party’s biggest and most well known names?  Where was your condemnation then, eh hotshot?  Trust me, we can dig up more on “hate filled” Dems all day long – we have in the past and we can do it again.

You want it to stop?  Then start condemning anyone – and stop being such a flaming hypocrite.

And lest we forget, what was it you said about NH Democrat Chair Ray Buckley when he famously said that Hitler should have bombed The Hague?

Oh yeah – nothing…..

Chicago Taxes Plastic Grocery Bags to Save the ‘Environment’ (wink-wink)

reusable-grocery-bagsChicago recently instituted a new $0.07 per bag tax on plastic grocery/store bags. No price is too high to save the environment, right? What if the “environment” is the city budget? Roughly 70% of that green-tax will go directly to the city to plug holes in the municipal budget. The stealth tax does not quite achieve a Clinton Foundation level of fraud, but it comes close.

And this isn’t their first rodeo. The experts in city government banned some bags outright based on their thickness. Chicagoland residents responded by using thicker bags to avoid the ban.
