Heh!  This is good news in that these towns, cities and counties are no longer decide that all laws apply to everyone, including themselves.  They should NEVER have decided otherwise.  But like recalcitrant children, they are learning that decisions have consequences.  But are they doing it because it is “the right thing to do”? Of course not.  Sure, they’re folding like paper cut-outs of Obama in the rain, but not for the right reason. Instead of following The Rule of Law (one of the foundational tenets of American Exceptionalism that all men are created equal before the law) however, its all about the Benjamins (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Senate Bill 12 has passed the house and the Senate. Governor Chris Sununu stated on the campaign trail if the bill comes to his desk, he would sign it into law. We all know the history. The same legislation has passed both houses twice before and Democrat Governor Maggie Hassan has vetoed them both times at the mere insistence of the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police.

Pat Grossmith of The Union leader featured this story yesterday entitled, “Concealed carry: Granite Staters speak out on imminent repeal of permit requirement.”  I read the article with much intrigue. The misinformation flowed like water in this article. Literally flowed….What I found so completely disappointing were the Police personnel interviewed for the article. I am not even certain how my opinion is formed, be it purposeful misinformation as a means to an end or lack of basic critical thinking.

The quick answer is that it hasn’t – when Target decided that it was going to make their bathroom basically unisex (“ollie, ollie, come on in home free”), it started a backlash from conservatives and traditionalists that didn’t want women to be forced to share the women’s bathrooms with men (especially the perverts proclaiming to be transgender to gain entry to that bathroom – but aren’t; we’ve written about this before and the pervs that have been caught).  But Target plowed on to cater to a small sliver of society – they made the decision that they could do without a large percentage of their customer because SOCIAL JUSTICE. They just didn’t plan on that same customer base deciding that they could do without Target, whose financials have suffered for their SJW ways. I know I used to go in fairly often – not anymore.

Then there’s the NFL whose TV ratings have sucked (relatively speaking for them). They’ve alienated a lot of their fan base by letting the Colin Kaepernick nonsense continue (as well as the “military pay for play” stupidity), and now they want to do the same thing as Target?

The same media and consultant class that assumed Hillary Clinton would win the presidency in 2008 and again in 2016 presumes to declare how a Senate kerfuffle in February 2017 will affect Iowa caucus-goers in 2020? Who are these people? Where did they come from? What makes them so obtuse, so beholden to gossip, so given to wish-casting, so certain that their momentary impressions of trivial matters carry cosmic weight? Was it college that inflated their sense of self-worth? Is that what $50k a year buys you—a degree in smug? We may never know.

Like I said earlier, my intent in going to our town’s Municipal Deliberative Session was all about Article 21 that was sponsored, in part, by former BudCom members Allen Voivod and Fred Butler (both who have tried to kill the BudCom in the past). Instead of going after it all like last time, they went after a single point person – the Chair Norm Silber (just wanted to point that out again).

The Ninth Circus Court of Bad Apples has just handed President Trump a club with which to beat them. They have ruled that a state, with absolutely no current legal standing, can sue a president if they don’t like his decisions. Even an individual with a half decent 12th-grade education can easily understand they are wrong.

President Trump must keep hammering this home to voters because the liberal court jesters will not back down. They have no recourse. Voters snubbed their leftist candidates in historic fashion, and the left Has nowhere else to go but liberal, activist judges – like these.

Texas is on its way to banning sanctuary cities within its borders. The carrot is money; the stick is money. Break the law, and you forfeit what could amount to millions your (likely) liberal enclave would rather keep. And Texas is not alone.

At least a dozen states now considering similar legislation include Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin, said Ann Morse of the National Conference of State Legislatures. North Carolina was one of the first states to sign prohibitions on sanctuary policies into law last year after Steinle’s death, though Missouri had passed a law discouraging them in 2008 by threatening to block state funding from cities that refused to cooperate with federal immigration officials.

BTW, sorry for not posting the last couple of nights – just had nothing on Tuesday and last nite was my town’s SB2 Deliberative Session for the town’s budget and other issues (all called “articles”).  For those that don’t live in NH, it is Town Meeting time.  This is the continuation of a few centuries now of a tradition, especially in the smaller towns and villages, for the residents (LEGAL residents!) to gather and decide on the upcoming annual budgets (municipal and school district), zoning changes, and any other types of “warrant articles” that are to be decided. The traditional Town Meeting has both the debate on the issues as well as the voting on these articles (either by raised hands or by voice votes).

An SB2 town is a bit different in that the debate part is its own meeting the residents can question the selectmen and budget committee members on the various articles, the budget line items – and change any desired them by voting those changes up and down and arrive at the final worded articles to be put on the ballot.  This completed ballot is then voted upon at a different day just like voting for President – via the voting booth.
