University Bans White Boards on Dorm Room Doors Because – ‘Snowflakes’

militant-snowflakeMichigan State has banned white boards on dorm room doors because – Racism.

(Kat Cooper, director of university residential services communications) said that racist, sexist or other potentially discriminatory messages are referred to the Office for Institutional Equity, where they are investigated. But because the offensive whiteboard notes are often left anonymously, 99 percent of the time, the university can’t pin down who was responsible, she said.

“It’s a drain on resources. … We’re spending a ton of time and energy administrating it,” Cooper told Heat Street.

Here’s an idea.

It’s the “Moms Demand Action Reality Distortion Field” – Part 2

Gun_Rights“When somebody says a (good) guy with a gun can stop a (bad) guy with a gun, we remind them that’s there’s absolutely no evidence that supports that theory and that all of the evidence is actually contrary to that.” – Moms Demand Action Florida director Michelle Gajda, in Group fights gun proposals with two opposing sides in documentary [via wtsp.com]

Well, the anti-gun harridans of MDA are safely ensconced in their own version of reality.  After all, those guns can threaten people, they can kill people, but they certainly can’t protect people.  And there are no good guys around either (common cause with the feminazis?).  Let’s keep pushing them over the edge, shall we?

After the officer approached 25-year-old Justin Holland, of Moores Hill, Indiana, near a vehicle on the highway, police said that the two began fighting. An unidentified woman at a nearby home came to the scene to help the officer, who was “being overtaken by Holland,” the release said.

The woman fired once from her personally owned gun,

A promise kept – and Joseph Plaia and Zandra Rice-Hawkins go on lying about SB12 – Part 3

Zandra Rice-Hawkins ('Grok exclusive photo)
Zandra Rice-Hawkins (‘Grok exclusive photo)

And now back to Zandra Rice-Hawkins – Mrs. FUD herself (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt).  Except in the case of SB12, the Constitutional Carry bill that Governor Chris Sununu promised to sign and did, she’s outright lying about what it does and what it says.  Typical for this Socialist that’s funded by outside-the-state-Progressives that want to turn our Live Free or Die State into just another Mass. hellhole of overreaching and overbearing government.  She is constitutionally unable to understand that the most important thing is Freedom for individuals to make their own choices.  Instead, she’s all about how Government needs to put a figurative cage around us and make all of the “important” decisions of our lives for us.  In this case, the Right to be able to defend ourselves should be, as any good Progressive wants, outsourced to others.  And she, in my opinion, to lie about it:

Here’s a couple of tweets from Granite State Progress which she heads:

Really?  “Signed law to allow sex offenders & other dangerous people to legally carry hidden , loaded guns” (BTW, concerning sex offenders, she’s all about

A promise kept – and Joseph Plaia and Zandra Rice-Hawkins go on lying about SB12 – Part 1

Congratulations to Governor Sununu for doing something that a lot of politicians don’t do – a campaign promise kept by signing NH’s new Constitutional Carry law (SB12) that repealed a decades old discriminatory law.  However, sore losers gotta hate – and lie.  It is in their blood and in their souls.  F’rinstance, one would think that a Police Commissioner would be a fine, up-standing, and truth telling Citizen.  After all, aren’t those involved in law enforcement supposed to NOT lie to the General Public?  Apparently, Joseph Plaia thinks otherwise (emphasis mine):

This bill will eliminate the state’s longstanding permitting system and prevent local law enforcement from making important determinations that help keep guns out of dangerous hands,” Joseph Plaia, a Portsmouth Police Commissioner and member of Granite State Coalition for Common Sense, said in a statement. (H/T: Concord Monitor)

“Will” is a strong declarative; Plaia is telling the NH Public that a duly passed and signed law is doing something that it is not true (as Kimberly blogged, he seems to have this kind of habit).  The law is short – even a moron can understand it as the official analysis shows (emphasis mine, full text after the jump):

ANALYSIS

This bill:

I.  Increases the length of time for which a license to carry a pistol or revolver is valid.
II.  Allows a person to carry a loaded, concealed pistol or revolver without a license unless such person is otherwise prohibited by New Hampshire statute.

NH House Committee Approves Bill that Could Give Sexual Predators Access to Women’s Bathrooms and Locker Rooms

Transgender bathroomA New Hampshire House Committee just advanced legislation that will give sexual predators unfettered access to your wives and daughters, and sisters and mothers, in bathrooms and locker rooms all across the state.

The bill adds ‘gender identity’ alongside age, race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, marital status, or national origin, and that is all well and good. But HB478 does not distinguish where it comes to access to public facilities. It gives any man (with the desire to do so) access to ladies bathrooms and locker-rooms and makes it illegal to prohibit them or to remove them.

US Frackers – better than Foggy Bottom at swaying geopolitical balance of Powers?

oilHeh!  For years, OPEC has been an energy bully as well as funding Middle Eastern spawned Islamism. It seems, however, that their days of exclusively using an oil club to get their way is fading:

Chinese independent, or teapot, refiners are bringing in rare cargoes of North American heavy crude in a new long-distance flow that traders say has only been made possible by OPEC’s output cuts and ample supplies in Canada and the United States.

In April, at least 1 million barrels of the heavy crude Mars, pumped from the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, are expected to land in China’s Shandong province and 1 million barrels of a second unidentified heavy grade will arrive in China, trade and shipping sources said last week. This follows the arrival in January of 600,000 barrels of U.S. Gulf Blend, a heavy crude made up of a blend of various U.S. and Canadian grades loaded onto ships on the U.S. Gulf Coast, according to the sources and shipping data.

This will get easier as the Left keeps taking their masks

Heh!

Jeffrey Medford, a small-business owner in South Carolina, voted reluctantly for Donald Trump. As a conservative, he felt the need to choose the Republican. But some things are making him feel uncomfortable — parts of Mr. Trump’s travel ban, for example, and the recurring theme of his apparent affinity for Russia.

Mr. Medford should be a natural ally for liberals trying to convince the country that Mr. Trump was a bad choice. But it is not working out that way. Every time Mr. Medford dips into the political debate — either with strangers on Facebook or friends in New York and Los Angeles — he comes away feeling battered by contempt and an attitude of moral superiority.

“We’re backed into a corner,” said Mr. Medford, 46, whose business teaches people to be filmmakers. “There are at least some things about Trump I find to be defensible. But they are saying: ‘Agree with us 100 percent or you are morally bankrupt. You’re an idiot if you support any part of Trump.’ ”

He added: “I didn’t choose a side. They put me on one.”

Moms Demanded Action on Gun Sense in NH and They Got It

So, life’s better without Michelle prepping your lunch tray?

Microcosm of Nanny State Failure: School LunchAyup – the wonders of Capitalism (the marketplace governed by you) vs the dreariness of a Government directed economy (even if it is just lunch):

Students, Faculty Rejoice as PA School Drops Federally-Regulated School Lunch Program

A Pennsylvania high school is no longer bound by federal food regulations after the district decided to do away with the National School Lunch Program. Penn-Trafford High School had been struggling to comply with federal regulations as cafeteria revenues and student lunch participation took a dive, the Tribune-Review reported. The school’s lunch program is now free from restrictions on calories, fat, sugar, salt, and other elements, but lost federal funding to help cover free and reduced-priced lunches for some students. However, district business manager Brett Lago said the district has still been able to provide free and reduced-price lunches to students eligible for the school lunch program.

“We’ve lost, to date, about $40,000 worth of reimbursement, but our sales are up about $50,000 over last year,” he said. “Participation has gone from about 25 percent to 45 percent, and we’re still providing free lunches to all those students who would have been eligible under the school lunch program.”

No Voter Fraud Part II

If you could just stop letting out of staters vote from your house that'd be greatDocuments From Secretary of State’s Office Show No Evidence of Out-of-State Drive-By Voter Fraud
June 11, 2015
(ACLU of NH Report)

I have to thank the ACLU of NH for doing so much homework on voter fraud denial for me. It takes so long to explain this affliction I often find myself at a loss as to how to put it in layman’s terms. These ACLU guys have done a bang up job of using what the Secretary of State gave them in a 2015 Right to Know Request that we will need to take some time to absorb it all. Here is Part II of my series.

From the REPORT:

Points to Consider About New Hampshire’s Conversion Therapy and Gender Identity Bills

Transgender bathroomThere are hearings today on HB 587 (gender transition) and HB 478 (discrimination based on gender identity). The former is a bad bill from last year recycled. The latter could result in your daughters, sisters, or wives having to share bathrooms and locker rooms with guys claiming to be girls.

Cornerstone Policy Research has some points to consider.

As we reported in Cornerstone’s February 17 legislative update, bills on “conversion therapy” and gender identity will have their hearings on Tuesday, February 21, at the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs Committee in rooms 305-307 of the Legislative Office Building in Concord.

HB 587 (hearing at 10 a.m.) would prohibit persons licensed to provide counseling services from engaging in “conversion therapy” with a person under 18 years of age in an attempt to alter the patient/client’s sexual orientation. The bill carries a penalty of professional sanctions for the offending counselor.

HB 478 (1:15 p.m.) would add gender identity to the list of protected classes covered by New Hampshire’s anti-discrimination law., treating it in the same manner as race, religion, and national origin. The bill defines “gender identity” as “a person’s gender-related identity, appearance or behavior, whether or not that gender-related identity, appearance or behavior is different from that traditionally associated with the person’s physiology or assigned sex at birth….”

These are public hearings. Your opinion on these bills will be very important to the committee, and you’ll find contact information for each member at the end of this message. Your attendance at the hearings could make a difference. The committee is preparing for a crowd.

Here are some points to consider about the two bills.
